How are you able to make that determination?

Whatever you do for a living may be overstaffed. o_O No offense but anyone who believes something without any analysis at all is a worthless employee. How would you know what the correct staffing level for the Clingman Dome’s Ranger office is? How would Trump and Elon know on week 2 without any work done? They have no idea. You have no idea.

No. But they sure as hell pay into the system to the tune of $28-30B/per year and another $6-8B to Medicaid. It is no wonder the Republicans are crashing Medicaid cuts through congress since we are busing vilifying a revenue source for the program.

That's what you and I have been told, but the refugees definitely do. How hard would it be to classify an illegal as a refugee?

Lol, I retired a few years ago, and know I wasn't over staffed. I actually just bought another company in North Carolina and yes this is currently over staffed temporarily.

I think Musk knows what he's doing. You guys are too much, anybody with common sense knows that federal and state are over staffed, always have been.

You can run a McDonald's with 2 people. You cannot serve many customers running it with 2 people and will make less money. You can run the Ranger/Welcome Station on Clingman's Dome with 1 person. You will not be able to respond to emergencies, keep the trails clear, stock the supplies, clean up the waste, and answer questions with 1 person. The staffing levels have been leveled over decades with leaders moving around resources to where they need them most. I assure you any overstaffing wasnt exactly where probationary employees were. What a nightmare of a strategy.

Musk and Trump know how to make shit suck. That is not a gift.

Just a guess but the consequences of reducing the number of social security employees isn't going to go over well in the Red States which proportionately have more residents receiving Social Security disability (SSD) benefits than the Blue States. One result will be significantly extending the time for approval of applications for SSD benefits as well as extending the time for decisions on appeals following denials.

You’re talking about a guy that fired his entire Tesla Supercharger team so there was no one left running a major growing product line and then had to rehire every one of them. You give him way too much credit/benefit of the doubt.

It seems some people are simply impressed when someone acts like a boss, which often just comes down to firing people. Chuds like displays of dominance, even ones that are ill-advised and backfire.

if self help isn't available, perhaps SSA should create using AI engines so they dont have to have people answer the same questions over and over again.

Lol, were talking about the federal Government not McDonalds, and I have no doubt there's plenty of Rangers in our state parks but if you fall from Klingmans Dome I don't think it will matter how many employees they have but you just keep up with your BS

As long as we agree that you, Elon, nor Trump have any idea how many park employees Clingman's Dome needs I am fine. We can also agree that blindly cutting these jobs will cost lives. Guaranteed.

The man brandishes a chainsaw like he's in a "Chainsaw Massacre" sequel, celebrating of his method of reducing the civil service. Elon knows how to collect subsidies from the government, and rile up the crowd at CPAC; staffing requirements, not so much.
