will fly to DC on Friday to sign the deal which gives the US a chance to recoup some of the free money joey sent them Ukraine Agrees Trump's Rare Earth Minerals Deal, Zelensky to Sign Friday
Shameful. Grow a pair & make the aggressor pay. I suspect this will ultimately be a net loser for the US.
"free money" - disgusting that people actually feel this way, perhaps they should scrape some children brains off the wall or talk to the rape survivors some days it is an embarrassment to be an american, more so lately than ever will wait to see the details, not opening another breitbart article. hopefully it requires the ukranian management fees negate any opportunity for any sort of profit at the end of the day, a concept donnie boy is well familiar with.
Sounds like it will be a MOU or similar at this point meaning it would likely be non-binding and allow Ukraine to continue its negotiations elsewhere.
“The framework is a preliminary step toward a comprehensive package that will be subject to ratification by the Ukrainian parliament, Zelenskyy said. Ukraine needs to know first where the U.S. stands on its continued military support, Zelenskyy said. He said he expected a wide-ranging conversation with Trump. The economic agreement “may be part of future security guarantees, but I want to understand the broader vision. What awaits Ukraine?” Zelensky said.” https://apnews.com/article/russia-ukraine-war-trump-economic-deal-faf1ff881802c923370053e539ec26e4

Smart. Dude sees what's coming and doesn't want to be saddled with the shame of numerous Trump branded condos and slum-rentals bespoiling the landscape of Ukraine.
Pretty sure this list omitted a future multi-billion dollar commitment to the Jared Kushner-run fee-only generating "investment fund."
While there are no security guarantees, seems to me if there will be US companies onsite in Ukraine, there would be some sort of implicit security guarantee.
I anticipate EU's deal is better for Ukraine. Also, a majority of us here would agree, including much of Maga.......Trump is not trustworthy. However, US has key weapons to provide, economy we can turn on/off for Russia, intel & Starlink to help Ukraine. Not sure EU could step up.
no matter what Trump does you libs will find fault - so why should we give a damn anymore what you say you have another 203 weeks to whine and carry on
Confused. What exactly are people upset about ? A potential deal for US companies to mine for Rare earth minerals in Ukraine is bad ?
Russia and Ukraine both want to make deals on minerals: Russia offered U.S. a deal for minerals in Ukrainian territory it seized Russian officials proposed an agreement for the U.S. to make money off critical minerals and metals under Moscow’s control By Courtney Kube, Carol E. Lee and Dan De Luce Russia has proposed to the Trump administration a potential agreement under which the United States would gain some ownership of rare earth minerals and other valuable metals in parts of Ukraine controlled by the Russian military, according to two U.S. officials familiar with intelligence on the matter and another person briefed on the proposal. U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent previously presented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy with a similar deal, which Zelenskyy initially rejected, frustrating President Donald Trump. Top aides to Russian President Vladimir Putin floated Russia’s idea with Trump administration officials last week at a meeting in Saudi Arabia, the U.S. officials and the person briefed on the proposal said. The options Russia had specifically prepared to discuss with U.S. officials included scenarios that could give the Trump administration access to minerals in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, both of which Russia declared it had annexed in 2022, the two U.S. officials said. The Trump administration has not committed to a U.S.-Russia deal on rare earth minerals but has not ruled it out, the U.S. officials and the person briefed on the proposal said. “Trump is transactional, so Putin — understanding that — has come up with this countermove,” a former U.S. diplomat with experience in the region said, adding that the Russians could clearly see both Trump’s interest in Ukraine’s natural resources and Zelenskyy’s hesitation. Trump suggested an openness Monday to an agreement with Russia. Russia offered U.S. a deal for minerals in Ukrainian territory it seized
Oh good! Zelenskyy agreed to something he had already agreed to under Biden a year ago, and of course Trump is taking credit.
