No conflict of interest here folks..wonder if we will have a trump constellation of satellites where each one spins off a royalty?

Musk’s Starlink gets FAA contract, raising new conflict of interest concerns

The Federal Aviation Administration has agreed to use SpaceX’s Starlink internet system to upgrade the information technology networks it uses to manage US airspace, raising new concerns about conflicts of interest for CEO Elon Musk in one of his other roles, that of recommending funding cuts at federal agencies, including the FAA.

The size of this contract was not immediately reported. SpaceX is a privately held space technology company greatly dependent on federal contracts, primarily from NASA. Its Starlink satellite internet provides service for government and private customers around the world.
    ..................
The FAA already has a contract with Verizon to upgrade its information technology networks. In a post on X Monday, Musk said “The Verizon system is not working and so is putting air travelers at serious risk.”

Musk has numerous business interests that are overseen by federal agencies. Beyond the FAA and NASA, he is also regulated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the National Labor Relations Board and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. He has often clashed with several of those agencies over the years.

Not laughing at you, G8trGr8t. Just laughing at the people who blind themselves to the incurable conflicts of interest here.

Verizon beat me for the contract, I'm firing them and paying myself X times as much, you don't need the details, trust me. nothing to see here.

btw, now that I control your flight systems, you might want to alter that legislation limiting my number of launches in crowded air traffic corridors and cancel those fines for putting all those planes at risk, so my systems don't crash. they are sensitive you know..smdh

like give us you rare earths or we're going to cut off your starlink access ultimatum

TSLA down 23% in the last month. EU sales down 50% in Jan.

Gotta do something. Starlink is harder to quit and impossible to sell or short. Need to monopolize stat.

The people at the FDA in charge of reviewing Neuralink lost their jobs, so look for that to get fast tracked as well

Related, but you can now go outside and on a clear night see with the naked eye 4 or 5 starlink satellites go by every minute. Just look up for the moving dot that looks like a tiny airplane with no red or green light. Once you learn how to spot them you realize how many of them there are.

not the dependence on starlink once you build your system to be dependent upon it

ask Zelensky why he is willing to sign off on mineral rights now

like spacex wasn't built on taxpayer subsidies and gubmnt contracts?

taxpayers have been investing in SpaceX and Tesla from the inception, seems like the taxpayer should have gotten some equity for all that investment...

maybe dt should suggest that deal, SWF should get equity in SpaceX and tesla since they wouldn't exist without massive taxpayer subsidies

total dollars given in that month / share price at time of payment or tax break from USA

I mean if we want Ukraine to pay for weapons to defend their women and children, should Elon pay us back for our investment in his companies???

May have already said it, conflict of interest is a feature not a bug of the current administration.
