It’s been a running thread for three years and the first worthwhile contribution you post will be your first.
Not exactly earth shaking news, but Auburn just set the game times -- not yet up on the UF board. For those planning their travel: LOCAL TIME: Friday @6PM Sat @2PM Sun @ 11AM -- getaway day, nice to have an early start.
Looking at the SEC stats, it looks like OU's pitching is within the top 4 in the more important stats.
Watching them there is no real dominant arm on staff. It looks like Bella Smith or Sam Landry have the potential, but id be suprised if Landry can get them deep into the post seaosn if those bats don't increase production quite a bit. Their pitching is going to be fine, it's just not shutdown.
Any type of injury would not be beneficial. A redshirt for four full years of playing would be. Possibly something to do with her running track?
I’m interested to see how Texas and OU hold up facing tough competition week in week out now that they’re in a stacked conference. Not a lot of free passes in the SEC.
Idk why but I was thinking about the Washington Huskies this morning. I almost started to feel bad for them but then I remembered 2009.
There have been multiple injuries and off season surgeries Noone knows about. Mia Williams and Keagan Rothrock had off season procedures that were not discussed. Players play injured and also kids on bench and we usually never find out. Hovermale I heard will be getting surgery. Hoping Townsen is OK I'd love to see her get some innings before conference play.
As of this morning, Florida ranks 3rd in D1 in Team BA at .393. We're 16th in Team ERA at 1.75. Tennessee is #1 at 0.96. South Carolina, Oklahoma, Ole Miss & Georgia have Team ERA's better than ours at this point. We are #46 infielding at .973. We ae #1 in hits with 186, #2 in HR's with 34, #2 in On Base % at .486, #1 in RBI with 163, #2 in scoring at 9.26 runs per game, #2 in slugging at .702, #6 in stolen bases with 44, #2 in pitching shutouts with 8, #36 in strikeout to walk ratio at 2.68 & #26 in WHIP at 1.11. Individually, Kendra Falby is #32 in BA at .500 & tied for #19 in SB with 19. Keagan Rothrock is #62 in ERA at 1.17, #30 in strikeout to walk ratio at 7.80 & #19 in innings pitched at 47.2. Taylor Shumaker is tied for #4 in hits with 27, tied for #1 in HR's with 10, #11 in slugging at 1.164, #1 in total bases with 64 and #1 in RBI with 33. Shumaker, also, is #1 in runs scored with 32 and Falby is #2 in runs scored with 29. Korbe Otis is #27 in on OBP at .590. These rankings and numbers will all change drastically once teams get into their conference schedules, but it's interesting stuff to ponder for now.
Based on a secret algorithm I developed while sipping Miller 64 and eating cracklin’s, I have the SEC regular season ending in a four way tie with UF, OKLA, TEX And TENN at 17-7. aTm will be at 15-9 and no one else above 12-12. Woefully, AU, who has the toughest schedule by far, will be at 6-18. If you have time, grab a brew, develop your own system and post your predictions.
Your algorithm missed one thing. Due to weather in Tennessee final series they will do everything in their power to NOT play and therefore win the regular season title on %. That’s the Weekly’s for you lol
Shumakers rbi numbers are not only a testament to her but the bottom of the lineup getting on base for her!
