I think there’s plenty of guys who are over the top on both sides of the fence. The guy on this thread openly admitted he’s just here to be irritating. I don’t see the harm in returning the favor. You may not go too far out of your way to be positive, but you’re not over the top beating the negative drum either. You don’t repetitively post the same played out demands and you’re not constantly dreaming up negative scenarios and contingency plans. You also seem plenty aware of the fact that you aren’t going to change anything. You support the team in your way and roll with the punches for the most part. I mostly enjoy your posts even though we’re not always in agreement.
I simply think if you want to constantly complain, question, criticize, critique, and fantasize about the coach getting fired, you shouldn’t be surprised if someone complains, criticizes, questions, and critiques you. You’re free to post your opinions, but your opinions are not above reproach. I also know I became much happier as a person when I learned to control what I can control. The folks in charge don’t care what we have to say. They’re gonna do what they do regardless of our feelings. The sooner you accept it, the better off you’ll be. If you actually want to inflict change go for it, but you’re not gonna do it from here.
It doesn't really matter if you're critical or positive. What matters is how you present your information. If you can break down you're position it's all good. However, if you're a critical power whiner spewing one ignorant hot take after another or a butt hurt keyboard expert here to vent, quote @gatorlips, you deserve all the criticism that you may receive. One thing that gets old is how hypercritical posters pertualy play the victum card. They freely post their negative comments, but are outraged when they receive negative feedback- it's ridiculous. You choose your actions you choose the consequences.
Surprising you single out @gatorlips here — he doesn’t come across to me as negative at all. 244 and Okeechobee on the other hand…..
Oh no, my bad. He's awesome. I wasn't singling him out for being negative, it was the opposite. I was trying to clumsily footnote his phrase from post #19 about venting. Look at posts #63 & #66 for what I think of @gatorlips.
Thread seems to have gotten off the rails a bit which I like, but to address the OP - Todd Golden is being mentioned for COTY. Wake me up when BN is discussed in such a light. Hope it happens but there is nothing I can do about it other than watch it play out. I think for most of Gator Nation, anger has turned to apathy.
