As Deputy Dir. the radio show host is charged with running the daily workings of a govt agency of 35,000.
Personnel, budgets, HR, logistics, etc so since we have Patel in way over his operational empty head, this bongo's total lack of experience should come in handy. Laughable but pathetic.

But isn’t the converse true—anyone he picks is perfect in your eyes? Bongini has not been in law enforcement for over a decade, and instead has spent his time being a pundit in shows like InfoWars. Why is that the type of guy you want to lead the search for spies and terrorists on our soil?

Bongino was with the NYPD for 4 years and the US Secret Service for 12 years- he has a degree in Psychology from Penn State and yes he is very very conservative. Again the only thing that matters to you libs is that Trump chose him.

I will never deny I like every cabinet pick Trump has made as they are all very conservative and most have a strong Faith. They cannot possibly be any worse than the freaks joey chose.

I feel like Trump is entitled to make his picks-he won. But I also feel we are entitled to comment in the experience of those picks. Bongino has not been in any semblance of law enforcement for over a decade—about the same tenure as his overall experience.

If the career agents remain in place, doing their jobs, then this shouldn’t be an impactful degradation. Indeed, maybe it will work out administratively for the better—that will take time to measure. I would be concerned, however, if we see a max exodus of career agents.

Change in the leadership can create change across all appointed positions in the Executive Branch which is now going down. So, if the new appointees cannot get it done 3.5 yrs from change thru election is the method of operation.

Dan is an entertainer. His positions and vocabulary have become more and more unhinged and extreme searching for more viewers and listeners. I have no idea if he is qualified to move from a podcaster to head of the FBI but sure looks like a move made to entertain. Trump is casting a reality show, not staffing the largest organization in the world that impacts the most lives in the world.

Yeah but you’re pretty much proving us right by agreeing every Trump pick, no matter how bad, is a good pick. Seriously, you can’t honestly believe this is the best guy he could find. It defies logic.

This country is never going to move forward if Democrats have to come in every four years and fix everything republicans broke. These picks are like an old 1940’s comedy, “Abbott and Costello run the FBI.”

Have prior presidents made questionable choices? I'm sure they have, I haven't actually paid that much attention to the people and the process until now. Trump's choices are so provocative that one's attention can't help but be caught. Each one worse than the last, this assemblage of incompetent and unqualified tools. Meritocracy, indeed.

Interrupts his broadcast where he was advising Trump to ignore judgement rulings because he doesn’t like them to welcome “Bigballs Mcgroin” to his feed. Ladies and gentlemen your FBI leadership.

Yeah, sounds like definite qualifications for Deputy Director of the FBI.

The cult would rationalize it if the con man put Barron in charge of something.

The good thing about him is that he's NOT a lawyer. I can't wait till Christopher Wray gets that knock on his door...

I thought "Little" Marco Rubio as Secretary of State was a sound decision although the current version of Rubio is a far cry from Marco Rubio the Reagan Republican who lambasted Putin for his invasion of Ukraine. As far as Bongino is concerned the position of Deputy Director has almost always been held by a career FBI special agent not a podcaster. Bongino was almost certainly selected by Trump not Patel who has his own issues with experience.
