Great praise for our front court but the main strength of this team is the back court,

    Seamless.

Yes and it's often the best backcourts that go on deep tourney runs

Nobody goes far without good guard play. The best, most bulletproof teams, are good in both the backcourt and the frontcourt.

Condon so valuable. As good as guys have stepped up, He's the key. I hope to see him rested and beastly.

I just don't want the season to ever end.

No doubt the back bone of the team is the back court. But you don’t beat Auburn anywhere unless you meet the strength of their team, their front court. We met and exceeded in Auburn with ours and the whole team played their best game. I would love to see this team get to the finals of the SEC Tournament in Nashville with Auburn as our opponent. With our front court getting better knocking them off there, it would shakeup the college basketball nation. Nashville in March is the center of the SEC universe, this year as the SEC is rolling, this tournament will have all college basketball fans and pundits watching on-line, tv and last but not least, fannies in their seats. Everybody in the SEC that loves basketball will be there.

It’s just about time to start a comparison thread for the ‘25 team vs 06-07…14 etc
And if we win a title this could go down as one of the best teams ever. They are absolutely impossible to completely stop. ONE time for an entire season they got beat… Vs Tennessee (a team we had previously beaten by 30)… but the other losses -Mizzou, UK, Georgia - were all really close and could’ve gone either way.
I think we need some comparative metrics like average point differential in wins etc
But you’ve got 4 really good guards who can drive, score, dish, run the break, rebound and play D…. And 2 super versatile big men (Condon, Hugh) and another 2 that give you great D, rebounds and minutes … the depth and versatility and scoring capacity for this team may make it my favorite Gator team ever

I've struggled to watch the 2 previous season's teams, but boy have I enjoyed this season!th i
The balance of this team, and the unselfishness of these players has amazed me. I was worried about Martin coming in and trying to "get his" and I was wrong, just a great team guy.
Anything can happen in tournaments, good and bad, but I've already considered this year one of my favorites. We were picked to finish 9th!! in the SEC.

    Started 5-3 in SEC.
Then went 9-1 down the stretch.

...in the toughest conference in history

Sorry to disagree with you in your wonderful thread.
    But.
This is a GREAT team that provided one of the most wonderful seasons I have had the privilege to enjoy. Up there with the best Gator teams ever. Should they fail to meet expectations in the tourney's we will surely be disappointed, but it will not change the greatness of this wonderful season. It happened.

After watching Bama win at Auburn, FL should be #1 overall. #2 at worst behind Duke

I don't want to use the word great until after the postseason. Greatness is achieved in the postseason. I also don't want to curse us haha

Reminds me of the Wilbekin-Patric team that went undefeated in the conference, overall #1 seed in NCAAT. Got bounced in Elite Eight.

It felt like such a letdown. But even at the time, I realized what a blast that season was.

the undefeated SEC team got bounced in the Final Four against UConn if I recall correctly, but yes still a disappointment...always tough to lose at any time, especially with special teams like that one

    Right here
You might be blending your memory with the 2013 Wilbekin-Patric team, which beat the crap out of teams, setting the highest ever KenPom rating for Florida (until this year). They started to falter after Yeguete went down and got blasted in the elite 8. Such a bummer ending for such a great team.
