Why does this crap have to be a constant? When you’re spending $6 trillion a year, there’s bound to be waste, fraud … or simply dollars that could be better spent elsewhere, or not spent at all.
But rather than an intelligent , reasonable effort we get this crap.

Every dollar of taxpayer money should be traceable, from beginning to end. There needs to be a permanent department of DOGE, who can openly inform taxpayers on where their money is spent. No telling how many dollars were spent”earmarked” for whatever, then goes into the pockets of individuals in the system.
Plain and simple, we taxpayers are being scammed by our elected politicians. We’re just one big “honey hole”.

Back in my Democrat days, I believed the “stolen election” was just another conspiracy. after looking at the states that don’t have voter ID, I’m no longer so sure. No way that I can see to verify election integrity if you can’t verify the voter. Several of those “no voter ID” states are our biggest populated states. Another thing that raises questions for me are the “voted” numbers in the last 4 elections. The total number of voters in the Biden won election, is so far off the other three (two before, one after) is very suspicious.

That’s the whole point, we don’t know, as we don’t have accountability/proof of where every dollar ended up. Zelenskyy says they did not get all the money we said we sent them (billions), another report saying ANC leaders started driving Lamborghinis and other expensive cars after getting US taxpayer money. Just two off the cuff. So, make it traceable to the end.

Unfortunately you are describing things out of the U.S. govt control. No way to guarantee 0 corruption on the ground once aid leaves U.S. custody. We should certainly be able to tell exactly how much was “delivered” with 100% certainty. Of course if one believes something like humanitarian or military aid is being hijacked by foreign political corruption or warlords, such that it isn’t effective to the civilians who need it, then of course it calls into question the idea of sending aid in those locations at all.

I assume the people doing this have an idea of how much is getting through vs. what they consider “acceptable losses” for a particular humanitarian endeavor. What that % is I have no idea and reading this article, doesn’t sound like anyone truly knows with precision.

The funny thing is I was going to suggest 20%, that is an oft-cited, but apparantly bs number with no basis. Although it has no basis because it’s impossible to track, not because it isn’t true. 20% is a plausible guess, but that’s all it is… a guess.

The money was allocated legally and through the proper channels, but when money starts getting transferred multiple times to different organizations, that's where the clean accounting goes awry. The projects may be valid but there will always be "handling charges" that get paid out when the cash reaches the final destination.
