It might violate board rules to answer chemgator's question.

Many consider a genius to be someone with an IQ of 145 or higher. That's roughly the top 13.5% of the top 1%. The 99.865 percentile.

So if you took 10,000 white high school students how many would test at the genius level? About 13 or 14

When Elon is at SpaceX engineers will come to him with problems and he'll help them find solutions. Must be pretty smart.

If Musk had an IQ of 110 that would mean roughly 25% of Americans are smarter than he is. Does that make sense?

If you believe Elon has an IQ of 110 or less what does that say about you? It might explain why you support war in Ukraine

If I was setting the Vegas over/under for Elon's IQ I'd put it at 154.5. IOW, if Elon took an IQ test what would his score be? I think about half of bettors would bet the under and half would bet the over. I'd take the over.

Obviously IQ tests don't measure everything. Testicle size for example. I think Musk has large testicles and that plays a role in his ability to execute his plan.

On Twitter in 2021 I said Elon should be the guy to overhaul our healthcare system and make it more like the system in place in Singapore. Hopefully that will happen at some point. Healthcare in Singapore is roughly 70% cheaper than our system and coverage is universal. Singapore's system is based on Milton Friedmsn'd idea of having medical savings accounts. Musk has been watching Friedman videos online.

So those who kept telling us how brilliant Biden and Harris were are now telling us that Musk is not very smart. Got it.

IDK. Is it "wild"? Or is it "typical"?

No one is or was saying that Biden is or was brilliant. I'm sure Biden is a moderately intelligent guy, but he was not elected president for his intelligence. Biden had the wisdom to surround himself with intelligent people, and be willing to listen to them. Trump is not very wise; therefore, he surrounds himself with unqualified yes-men who are less intelligent, and he tells them what to think. Harris is smarter than Biden, undoubtedly (and way smarter and with a higher E.Q.--emotional quotient--than Trump, which is why she dominated him in their one debate), but people who voted for her were not selecting her for her intelligence. Again, she had more wisdom and political experience than Trump, and was a better listener.

These are all subtleties that are probably lost on MAGA people, so I don't expect you to understand them.

Can you find any post from anyone saying that "Biden and Harris are brilliant".

I'd really love to see this because I have a feeling it's as rare as a DoDo Bird. Or maybe it was that cartoon in your head you like to argue with.

He did post this. Which is really stupid, especially for a "space and tech" guy.

I'll let you and the rest of MAGA figure out why it's stupid. . . . This will be fun! (Hint: The answer is SO DAMN easy).

    And yet. . . .

Did you really just post that??? In defense of Musk???

Man, you MAGA boys take "it" to a new level. Maybe put down the pom poms for a second and collect your thoughts.

Further proof of my premise. Tailgaters just shouting at opposing fans as they pass by. So mindless, in fact, they call themselves out with their own sad attempts at insult.

I think he’s quite smart but broken. From interviews I’ve heard he’s been quite set off on the DEI stuff because of what he’s experienced with a daughter and he’s also quite set off about government regulation that’s affected business aspirations. This has molded him into an ideologue which produces bad thinking. Also billionaires don’t like to be told no. That’s what he and Trump have in common. This is just one big revenge tour. They don’t care about their base other than to enable them.

That is insulting to retarded people. They were born with limitations and do the best they can within them. People who write biased nonsense like this choose to be ignorant and showcase it to the world. I don’t know what to say about people buy this drivel other than politics must be the base of their spiritual being.

Right! Sure! Musk is low IQ!

I would love for “journalists” to post theirs. At UF in the late 70’s and early 80’s Journalism was the destination degree for those that weren’t good at anything else.

LOL You call it the wisdom to surround himself with intelligent people and be willing to listen to them, I call it being a puppet.

Listening to advisors and automatically doing what they say are two different things. No president has the expertise in every field to make good decisions without the advice and input from experts. Before making a decision, it helps to know what the risks are, what the other parties might do in response A smart president listens to the experts and comes to a conclusion on the best path forward. The president still makes the decision, and is definitely not a puppet. If you think the president (any U.S. president) is a puppet, you need to study a little more closely--you're way off base. All presidents make the major decisions in their administrations, some with all the information they can get, and some with very little.

A dimwit con-man president (say, Donald Trump) pretends that he has all the answers and starts proclaiming them before he fully understands the problem. His yes-men are forced to scramble to defend his idiotic ideas, as well as predict what he will say next, and adjust their speech accordingly. Later, when everything falls apart, the dimwit says "Who knew that _________ could be so difficult?" (As it turns out, the experts knew, but the dimwit wouldn't listen to them.)

Oh my world these days is a lot like Sleepy Joes was the last 4 years. I sleep till noon, maybe an hour or two longer. Get up and eat lunch, a little while on the computer (I doubt sleepy joe did this part often). Then I watch a little TV, eat dinner a few more minutes online, more TV then back to bed. It's a tough life but somebodies got to do it.

No one said that Musk is "low IQ". Have you no reading comprehension skills at all? An I.Q. of 110 is still above average (100 is average), but well below the genius level (around 140 or 150 or so). I am trying to work with your limitations in understanding this, but its not easy. People who don't understand what they are talking about (I'm talking about you, son) are the ignorant ones. The irony of your ignorance on this subject is duly noted. Carry on.

P.S. By the way, the one time my IQ was tested, it was around 140. Deal with it, son.

Is Elon the Smartest Man on Earth?

Conclusion – Musk‘s Brilliance Advances Humanity by Decades

In conclusion my friend, while we don‘t know Elon Musk‘s exact IQ score, expert estimates place it in the top 0.1% at around 155-160. This is squarely in the rarefied genius territory matched only by historic greats like Einstein.

Musk possesses an uncommonly high capacity for rapidly learning ideas across multiple scientific and economic disciplines. His cognitive abilities seem to exceed even today‘s other technology icons.

Musk combines his gifts with relentless drive, bold vision, and intense focus to achieve innovations most experts deem impossible. While he may not have the single highest IQ, Musk‘s polymath brilliance across aerospace, software, brain-machine interfaces, and energy storage make him unique.

The diversity and magnitude of Musk‘s world-changing companies answer the key question – does he stand alone as the most brilliant and influential leader today? While reasonable minds can differ, Musk has shown an unmatched track record of building paradigm-shifting companies with transformative potential.

In looking holistically at the scope of his innovations, there is a strong case that Elon Musk demonstrates the most well-rounded genius and highest world-changing impact of anyone alive today. His breakthroughs have accelerated humanity‘s progress across multiple fields by decades. Musk‘s exceptionally high IQ and creativity will likely continue advancing us to an inspiring future.

Mine was too; 134. Deal with it. You claim Musk isn’t overly intelligent because a “journalist” or “writer”wrote something that you enjoyed reading. I disagree with you based on Musk’s accomplishments and success. But I’m the ignorant one.

I think most here would agree that, in this case you are not putting your gift to any use. An IQ of 140 should be able to identify a biased hit piece in the first paragraph; but in the ignorant one. I would think 140 is plenty of margin to keep your heart from overtaking your brain when it comes to objectivity. It apparently isn’t enough to recognize technical innovation and DTUPC.

Sometime it’s hard to decide if tears or laughter are a better response to liberal nonsense.

This implies you tried to get me banned by saying you might be retarded. Should I have stated it in absolute terms instead of using maybe?
