    I said I didn't disagree with her being considered a top prospect and she is. The ranking services had her as the #1 pitching prospect. That is debatable. I give little credence to any of these services being able to distinguish between a kid as #1 and some other kid ranked #20. For pete's sake, most did not have Taylor ranked very high and that is as big a miss as you can get. There are quite a few really good freshmen pitchers and Heavener and Red certainly fit that description.

    Yep. Dare I even tread on the thought she might turn out even better than Keagan? And, as an aside, even though we speak most every day, I did not know it was your birthday....so....happy. (How did Scrappy know this?)

    Young pitchers can pull your hair out. Heavener got roughed up yesterday but LSU still won. She went 3.2 innings, gave up 3 hits, 5 earned runs, struck out 6 but walked 4 and hit 4.

    13 SEC teams are currently ranked in the top 25 and 8 of the top 10. Talk about domination! So we have the SEC regular season followed by the SEC tournament and of course it ends with the WCWS which looks to me like it is going to be another SEC tournament. Winning the WCWS is the ultimate goal and the most prestigious but to me winning the SEC regular season is by far the most difficult of the three and in some ways a bigger deal.

    It is all Nice!! But results between the lines are the only things that count., e.g, our experience with the polls last year and making it to a heart beat away from the World Series final series.

    Taylor is not only a fantastic player but also a wonderful person and teammate. After conversing with her at the First Pitch Banquet, I was left with the impression that she is a grounded individual whose personality and attitude have a positive impact on her teammates. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to her family, coaches, and teachers for their invaluable contributions in shaping her into a kind and well-rounded young woman.
