The part of tackling that so many don't count is "the want to" tackle...not sure if that part has showed up yet. Hope it does!
As a player, CM's previous HC never seemed to place much importance on tackling anyone, anywhere, at any time. Maybe the old thing about a fish rotting from the head applies here. Hopefully, our staff can rectify CM's lack of familiarity with the basic concept of taking the opponent off his feet and putting his butt on the ground. I've chosen to be optimistic. The talent and now the coaching seem to be there in abundance for CM. If he puts his heart into it...
When the ball is in the air this young man has that “it” factor that very players have, even among really good players. The question is does he have time to develop his body and his game to become elite? For his sake I hope so.
He's a great cover corner for sure, but can he play within a defense. Do we play ten man defense and put him on an island?
I'm wondering how he ever became a five-star originally if his body type was really so far off the prototypical norm for his position?
HS. Speed and instinct can make him a winner in HS. It's up to him and the staff now to make him a complete college player. There's a lot of talent in the CB room now. With Harris gone, we really need a coach who can connect and get the best out of all of them.
I gotcha Gray. Just seems like there has been nothing but discussion about this guy's size since the beginning. It's not like he's 17 at this point. He'll be 21 next week.
Seriously, how do you NOT eat all the good free food you can when you're 18-21 years old and growing?
I couldn’t put on weight at that age. I ate like a horse. Even with supplements and working out, I could not gain weight. Don’t worry, I figured out how to pack it on when I hit my 30’s. Now I eat like a bird and it seems like everything that goes in my mouth attaches to my waistline.
The bras monitor all kinds of stats. I don’t know why they need to be bras, but that’s what they are and everyone wears them now in all the sports.
