On the All Things Gymnastics podcast, the twins went to the LSU-Oklahoma meet, so most of the podcast was them talking about their experience. I'll save you the annoying Giddy over LSU nuance and give you the highlights: The pressure seemed to get to Oklahoma on Floor and Beam. They were having problems landing in both routines and a little shaky on Beam. It could be from the fatigue from Oklahoma not used to being tested every week like when they were in the Big 12. They would waltz through the regular season not facing real pressure, and had a straight path to the regionals. Oklahoma would have an off meet and still win. In the SEC, they are having to face more pressure every week and can't afford to be off a single meet. Kindler wanted to make a statement with winning both the regular season and SEC Championship titles, but now her best hope is tying for the regular season. As of right now, LSU and Oklahoma are the clear top two teams in the NCAA, and LSU is emerging as the frontrunner for repeating. UCLA has really improved since their first meet, and will make some noise in postseason. Florida has been looking very off, and unless they really improve, will likely fail to win the natty again. KJ Kindler compared the Sprouts quad meet to the national championships in terms of the caliber of teams, attention and arena setting saying, "It's a great experience to have in your pocket." She was happy to have the chance to see how her gymnasts performed "under this kind of pressure" early in the season.
LSU is giving Kentucky gifts, but the Wildcats aren't taking advantage LSU 49.200 (Vault) 98.525 Kentucky 49.150 (Bars) 98.325
I thought Selena's and Skylar scores were too low And a couple of vaults with some steps and hops were too high
