Less to do with whether he likes Musk or not, more to do with what the salute represents ( a dog whistle and a rallying cry) . We fought a war against fascism. The greatest generation sacrificed so much, and now we have crap like this in our midst.
To me this is a nonissue but cancel culture decides to raise its head anyway. These guys like to troll and I’m sure Musk enjoyed the attention with no consequences, but other times it could just be a wave to the crowd gone wrong. We need to stop giving attention to the Trump trolls and spend less energy on things that don’t matter.
Bannon has been a fascist from the start. Never hid it, although agreed the salute is brazen. The world and certainly this country has forgotten fascism. Gonna be ironic when Sweden leads the world to victory over the new unbeatable Axis Powers, China/Russia/US. Let’s be honest: it was a good run!

Disagree. A lot of people in Europe thought like that in the 1930's. They didn't live to see the mid 1940's. Entire minorities were annihilated by such people. While we do not need to highlight every single outrage from President Musk and his Meat Puppet Side-Kick, there are certain lines in the sand that NO ONE should allowed to cross without being called out and censured by those of us who are still sane.

Hitler never had an original idea and that salute he stole from the Roman Empire, just like he stole the swastika, which is a symbol for good luck and prosperity in many eastern religions. I’m just saying that we need to be careful about calling people raising their hand. It could be them copying the Nazi salute, or maybe they’re just waving at the crowd or hailing a cab.
No. The decision was made after a long debate which actually began some years back when A LIBERAL who also happened to be Jewish sent a compelling PM to me about the use of the word. (There may have been other mods attached as well.) The cheapening of the word was seen as an insult to those who were massacred at the hands of the actual Nazi's. So you can actually blame a well meaning liberal for starting the journey to abolishing that word being used so freely.
