Was a good game. Didn’t like they got away with too many men on the ice. The OT tension was palpable.
I've never watched even 30 seconds of hockey in my life, but I tuned in while it was tied in third period. OT was suprisingly exciting. I wonder how many people Googled "What is icing" during the game. I know I did.
I followed the betting odds real time. Other than the time each team had a lead, the odds were even until the very end. A coin flip. I’ve never seen that in a game.
The game reminded me of the final game in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver when Sidney Crosby scored the winning goal in overtime giving Canada the gold medal over the US.
Sometimes its fun, but I went to a game once where one team was getting killed, and just started pointless fights in the 3rd period out of frustration. It probably added another 10-15 minutes to an already decided game with the stoppages and the refs having to sort out the penalties. It stopped being fun at that point, just wanted the game to end.
