Given that the only way they are going to find $2 trillion to cut is to reduce SS and Medicare benefits, this would be a transfer from old people to young people.

While unlikely, this might not be a bad idea. Given the price increases in just 1 month under President Musk, in another 4 years of this administration, you are going to need that $5000 just to buy eggs.
If We The People get 20% of all that original theft, and return 80% of that ill-gotten money back to the treasury, that IS still better than letting it all 100% go to waste, fraud and abuse. It's the lesser of the two evils, with a stimulus kick for good measure.
