    so… This is the guy picked to lead America to into a fiscal responsible era, huh? He said if he can find $2 Trillion in cuts, he wants to give everyone a $5000 “refund” check…. Which would cost just shy of 2 trillion dollars… so he wants to replace wasteful spending with wasteful spending…. doesn’t even make sense. We got here by underpaying our taxes for 4 decades, not overpaying, so what is there to refund?

    Given that the only way they are going to find $2 trillion to cut is to reduce SS and Medicare benefits, this would be a transfer from old people to young people.

    Finally. This Trump guy is awesome. Hopefully when he’s done with the older folks he’ll claw back some SNAP benefits. 56% go to kids who, get this, PAY NO TAXES. Freeloaders.

    While unlikely, this might not be a bad idea. Given the price increases in just 1 month under President Musk, in another 4 years of this administration, you are going to need that $5000 just to buy eggs.

    If We The People get 20% of all that original theft, and return 80% of that ill-gotten money back to the treasury, that IS still better than letting it all 100% go to waste, fraud and abuse.

    It's the lesser of the two evils, with a stimulus kick for good measure. :)
