That’s just bullshit. If they’re getting paid, they should pay taxes just like everyone else. Are pro athletes exempt?

States without a state income tax are at an advantage here, but that’s the same for anyone in all other walks of life and I don’t see any reason why any residents of any state that has a state income tax should be exempt from it. I’ve never lived in a state that has it. Is there any precedent here? Seems just outright insane. I can’t imagine that even the folks that support the mutts think this is a good idea.

    I
ve al thought any school could win it all if any billionaire decided to buy the talent. 50 mil would be chump change for that dudes bank account. Simple interest could fund that. I expect some new programs to be competing soon if they so desire. The blebloods will get it together when titles are bought out from under them .

like Josh Pate said a year or two ago, imagine what CFB would become if a Saudi billionaire decided to fund a program.

Kind of like Texas Tech with one investor that just bought a top three portal class.

    https://247sports.com/article/trans...on-big-12-leading-class-per-report-245558235/

How Texas Tech built a portal class so good Notre Dame tried to poach the GM
