So your position is that these are not pay outs for survivor benefits? Is there a link?

One other thing that is important here. The data provided by DOGE is the number of people on the roles. What if all those payouts for the egregious 150 year old people is $0.01 cent? What if the SSA said “we don’t have the budget allocation to chase the pennies that DOGE is going to eliminate.”

Messing with or even proposing to mess with Social Security will be the one decision that will end up doing in Trump and co-President Musk. After George W. Bush was reelected in 2004 Republicans were talking about a permanent Republican majority and claimed that he had a mandate keeping in mind that the Republican majorities in both the House and Senate were larger than they are now. When Bush proposed partial privatization of Social Security his approval went underwater and continued to shrink for the rest of his administration with the Democrats ending up with majorities in the House and Senate in the 2006 midterms.

Although pure BS members of the Cult of the Donald accept it as the truth. I recall an interview of two Mexican-Americans in Nevada who voted for Trump in the 2024 election. The irony is that they originally entered the country illegally, received amnesty in the 1986 Immigration Reform Act signed into law by President Reagan and ultimately became US citizens. If Trump and his supporters had their way they would have never had that opportunity although Trump when he was in the private sector never had any problem hiring illegal immigrants since they were much easier to exploit than American citizens or legal immigrants.

It's also such a bad idea when you consider where they wanted those funds diverted. . . . To the same band of losers that crashed the economy in 2008. No matter what you think of SS, last thing you want to do is give it to clowns like that to handle. They'll shit it all away then get a bailout for THEIR lost profits.

That's because they're stupid. Simple as that. Reality is our friends from south of the border are almost identical to Sicilian or Southern Italian immigrants from 100 years ago. Like the literal only difference is the addition of Native American admixture to the genetic mix. 100 years from now (or sooner) and people will laugh at how stupid people today are. Imagine thinking of the characters in The Godfather as "not white" and "replacing our culture." Laughable.

I believe New York city passed a law allowing illegal immigrants the right to vote in LOCAL elections in 2021 but a judge barred that in 2022 and it is under appeal.

It seems the one true thing Elon is exposing with DOGE is what a fool he is.

If Musk is correct when he says:

“at this point, I am 100% certain that the magnitude of the fraud in federal entitlements (Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, Disability, etc) exceeds the combined sum of every private scam you’ve ever heard by FAR.”

We should soon be seeing massive spending reductions in those programs without anyone having their benefits cut. Something tells me that's not going to happen though.
