DOJ ordered to investigate green contracts and find reasons to cancel them (charge them with any crime) strictly for political purposes. not only cancel contracts, but use DOJ authority to freeze assets of those people who had received contracts and may have supported Biden.

every accusation was admission of a plan. blame them for it so you can justify doing it.

as the Nuremberg trials documented, following an illegal order is no excuse for breaking the law.

and they want to be trusted with the tax records with all of our medical data and which causes we donated to. everyone who gave max to dem party gets audited...

again..and again..and again..wth MAGA. is this what you want?

'She was exactly right': Critics sound off as DOJ is rocked by 'yet another resignation'

On Tuesday morning, February 18, the Trump-era U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was rocked by yet another resignation. According to Reuters' Sarah N. Lynch, Denise Cheung — the top senior prosecutor in DOJ's Washington office — told her colleague Ed Martin, in her resignation letter, that she is leaving DOJ because of a request from Trump Administration officials she considers improper. The Trump allies, Lynch reports, asked Cheung "to launch a criminal probe" and "ordered her to investigate a government contract awarded during Joe Biden's administration and pursue a freeze of the recipient's assets."

In her resignation letter, Cheung wrote, "I have been proud to serve at the U.S. Department of Justice and this office for over 24 years. During my tenure, which has spanned over many different administrations, I have always been guided by the oath I took.... to support and defend the Constitution."

Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig tweeted, "Yet another resignation in protest after DOJ leadership orders veteran fed prosecutor this weekend to freeze enviro grants made by Biden administration. @TheJusticeDept can freeze funds when there is evidence the assets are linked to a crime. Veteran Denise Cheung felt such a step was improper/unethical now and resigned, sources tell the Post."

CBS News' Scott MacFarlane posted, "The wave of resignations among longtime Justice Dept attorneys continues Denise Cheung is leaving her post as a top criminal prosecutor in Washington DC, amid tumult in the agency."

Ok so she doesn't believe sufficient evidence of a crime existed. Her boss thinks it does exist. It is an act of defiance on her part, she should be fired.

This is what the gop wants. He'll just fire anyone who does not follow his orders. When push comes to shove that includes the military.

So then are we going to investigate every American and every business without cause now, just in case they maybe committed a crime? Or just the people the president wants to investigate for political gain?

Oh I'm sure there is some fine print somewhere in Project 2025 about addressing that. Turning in your neighbors, friends, co workers or anyone else who may be a " danger to the state".

As I have mentioned before, this happens in the Justice Department every time there is a change in administration, especially when there is a change in parties.

with a very noisy resignation. It usually happens without much fanfare.

ETA: maybe her resignation letter was more vanilla. I may have been confusing her with the NY USA. But I’d wager she knew exactly what the story would be.

Some people don't want to do the enabling of criminals. Other people vote for that.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday dismissed any comparison between the firing last fall of eight U.S. attorneys with the replacement of 93 U.S. attorneys when her husband became president in 1993.

Clinton opens up about U.S. attorney firings

Article that references Clinton firing 93 US Attorneys in 93. So it does happen.

This was a career prosecutor, not a political appointee. You are confused.

While most US Attorneys are replaced when there is a change in Administration as are most senior officials in the Dept. of Justice Cheung was a career prosecutor who worked for the government for 24 years. She resigned because she put ethics over obedience to her boss Ed Martin, the Acting US Attorney for DC who by the way was an election denier who supported the J6 insurgents. Trump's appointment of Martin was another example of Donald's putting an inmate in charge of the asylum.

it seems like you’re focusing on numbers. The difference here is qualitative, as noted in the posts subsequent to yours.
