At this point, the majority of Head College Football Coaches are ready to put Rashada on their block phone list. 15 months from the end of his high school career and he already has committed/signed to both Miami and UF, enrolls at Arizona, and then portals to UGA. I have no idea how much NIL money he bagged in the past two years with Arizona and UGA. But I am sure it is not chump change. In any case, he has bagged more dollars than many people make in 30 or 40 year career. At this time I question his commitment to any team since he is set for life.
I'm sure he and pops will handle their ill-gotten gains, whatever they may be, with probity and prudence.
Well, it was said that when he went he headed to Arizona, he did so without an NIL deal. Doesn't mean he left there in that state, though.
I feel bad for the kid. I don't think the adults in his life have done him any favors. As a father of a D1 athlete it's sad to see parents/handlers using these kids.
I'm seeing now that he got that in March of '23, so that was down the road a little from signing day. Got an e-bike as part of the deal. But, it was widely reported that he was heading there at the time of his release without anything in place.
I giggled. Guy knows his soccer. I’ve just been a proud observer of my oldest for 20+years. Watched him start little kickers at the YMCA in Gainesville and progress through travel, ODP, academy on to major college ball. It was a joy. I still don’t understand offsides sometimes.
