Yes, ESPN Matchup predictor has @Miss State as definitely the hardest remaining game. And no, I don't think anybody is suggesting any night's off.
How are we not above Alabama? Or at least have some more #1 votes. You can’t have two better wins than #1 at home and #1 away. Quality wins as it comes. Don’t get basketball. I get it doesn’t matter really but still.
I would rate Alabama above us also. They have a good body of work. Like us, they only have three losses, and none are bad (@Purdue, neutral Oregon, vs Ole Miss). While we have the single best win, they have more quality wins (Illinois, Houston, UNC, OU, @TAMU, @UK, @MSU, @Arky, and @Texas.)
Yes sorry, I think I may have provided some confusing punctuation there. I meant to suggest that none of Alabama’s or Florida’s losses are bad ones. I think Florida has good resume, just that Alabama’s is a bit better at this point. Bama is about to go through a gauntlet though, so we’ll see how they come out the other side.
I agree, us fans mustn't lose focus! ESPN Matchup Predictor for next three games, our chance of winning: 86%, 75%, 65%. And the second and third are road games.
#2 feels a little lofty for a team that got pummeled a couple weeks ago, but there really aren’t many teams that should obviously be in front of us. Im mostly hoping we can hold on to that #1 seed. While the schedule is favorable, any of these other teams can pose a challenge on any night.
We got pummeled and we have pummeled. You seem pretty hell bent on the Tennessee game that we lost and forgot the one we won.
Im sorry Hawaii, I didn’t mean to give that impression. I certainly don’t think our great wins over Tennessee and Auburn (which I’ve argued was the best win Gator history) should be discounted. I didn’t mention the wins largely because #2 teams are expected to have great wins and not expected to be blown out. But again, ranking is inherently a relative exercise, and therefore, equally important is what everybody else is doing. We could have five blowout losses and still be the number one team, as long as everybody else has six.
According to this link one of the coaches voted the Gators #21: NCAA Men’s College Basketball Coaches Poll | USA Today Sports Maybe the same guy that voted Auburn #11? And Kansas #1?
Somehow, it also shows both Bama and UTk with their highest vote as "1" but have no first place votes.
