Interesting dilemma for the left…. They hate white people but all the sudden are loving Canada. As usual the people you love hate you.
I don’t know why you felt the need to post this, but man… I have neither seen a single left leaning poster expressing hate for white people nor a single poster on the right expressing hate for non-white people. Sorry you feel this way. Hope discourse changes your world view.
I've got a Canadian uncle, he married my Aunt a few years before Obama was elected. I will never forget sitting on the couch with Uncle Bud watching the Obama debates when Obama was talking about Obamacare. Uncle Bud kept saying, "We tried that shit in Canada, it doesn't work." Canadians ain't all bad.
Canadians do not want to replace their system with an American style system. They want to improve what they have. When NAFTA was being debated in 1993 and 1994 the biggest fear among Americans was competition from cheap manufactured goods from Mexico. The biggest fear among Canadians was that they would be forced to give up their single-payer healthcare system so that American health insurance companies could do business in Canada. One of the most admired Canadians in history Introducing Tommy Douglas, Father of the Canadian Health Care System And then there is this: New poll shows Canadians overwhelmingly support public health care – Healthcare-NOW
Yep! I was torn when Brandon Hagel was the first fight. I hate that 3 Bolts players plus Coach Coop are on Canada's roster. But Jake is crushing it for the US and making Tampa proud!
Actually a lot of Lightning fans on this board and almost 400 straight sell outs in Tampa prove we care
Yep, all the freeloader nations suddenly hate us for forcing equal/reciprocal trade. It's called fair trade...
Remember that. . . this was never a thing before. But hey, good stuff, right? Just another insult to drunkenly hurl at opposing fans who are walking by?
American doctor to sick patient … “Are you able to cash in your 401k ?” Canadian doctor to sick patient … “Have you considered dying ?”
Problem with the Canadian system is it tries to be egalitarian, which IMO is impossible and just shoves everyone into one line. Medicare expansion would inherently be public/private, with people able to buy different levels of coverage, thus spreading out the demand over several "lines". It makes 1000x more sense. Focus on making sure everyone has a base level of coverage, then allow those who can afford it to purchase higher levels of coverage. It's really not that hard. We also have hard numbers we could look at, but for some reason nobody wants to ever deal with those. Just the usual Medicare expansion = Venezuela.
