Taylor is hitting .581. Kendra is second...100 points behind at .484. She is leading the team in hits, runs, doubles, home runs and rbis. She is tied for second in walks. Her OBP is .658...again 100 points higher than second place. Her slugging percentage is an absurd 1.516. This is ridiculous and can't possibly continue as she is human, I think.
Texas has a sophomore pitcher Teagan Kavan that is really good. She pitched 9 innings last night against Texas Tech and struck out 18. I would not be surprised if the Gators and Longhorns faced off in the finals of WCWS.

I am not against having a beer or two at an event, but I don’t get the need to get drunk at sporting events, especially at a women’s collegiate game. What is the point.
Agreed. She is tough. And Canady is now 3-2 on the year. Took a million bucks to play on what is really a mid-major team (all of the transfers from Louisiana) that has trouble hitting.

Although it was Providence and I was listening on radio, it sounded like Liv pitched a really good game. It sounded like she was in the zone and pitched to contact. Although, she did have six strikeouts. For those at the game, what was her best pitch. One can’t tell when you listen to the clowns on the radio.
Awesome season so far! I always am in awe of CTW and believe he is as good as any Gator coach in any sport, ever! My observations so far this season: 1. The team appears to be in awesome shape phyically. Kudos to the offseason S&C program! 2. New coaches. Adding these 2 outstanding ladies to our staff is more proof of CTW's ability to evaluate and foster team chemistry and excellence. 3. Keegan Rothrock and Taylor Schumaker. Simply phenominal so far. 4. Jocelyn Erickson and Kendra Falby. With so many young players your team leaders are the glue that keeps the team together and moving forward. 5. Fun. Winning is fun. And this team is surely having fun out there! The season ahead will be long and grueling for them. These players will be put to the test. Its hard to imagine a better start to a season than they've had so far. Pretty exciting for us Gator fans! I believe CTW will have them right where they need to be come late May and early June. Go Gators!!!
Bama falls to UCLA and has now lost three in a row. And Murphy gets tossed again, which he does three or four times a year.
I sent an email to Lauren suggesting they do a long human interest video of the practice when Jocey and Rylee return to their high school in Arizona. I think it would be interesting.
I didn't see it either on the first coach. The second argued about a ball being called foul instead of fair...and it wasn't really even closed. I'm guessing it was more prior frustration.
Heavener is an outstanding freshman pitcher for LSU. It will be interesting to see who turns out better...her or Red. Might not be a difference.
Would love to find out. If Red is a viable option to contribute this year the ceiling is much higher. Starting to worry about Brown
