The VP of the united states went to the munich security conference and told our allies that the biggest threat to peace in Europe was not Russia, Was not China... it is Europe because they are acting like cold-war Russia, while also somehow simultaneously blasting them for being pro-immigration, and how their stance on that issue is leading to the slaughter of their citizens. Among a bunch of other ridiculous statements and complaints about Europe being anti-democratic. Did not address Russia. Did not address Ukraine. Yeah, he basically went to lecture the victims of fascism about how wrong they are. This cat almost makes you want Trump to stay quasi-catatonic for four years.
I mean, that part is sorta right. What he left out was the decade plus effort and more like trillions of dollars. Meaning, the damage was done. The Musk coup (which also required $300M alone) was the last push.
Even if Trump does not formally withdraw the US from NATO, the outcome is the same. If one of them is attacked, all he has to do is NOTHING. Vlad must be so tickled.
This is Europe’s perfect opportunity to renounce its vassal status and go its own way. But I suspect it would rather chafe and moan than be free.
He's probably conferencing right now to help European states organize helpful and peaceful demonstrations by very fine people in support of right-wing politics.
