I haven’t followed softball anywhere close to as long as many of you have. But I’ve followed for 15+ years. I’ve seen a lot of Gator greats come and go. I’ve never seen anything like Taylor. My one word to describe Taylor would be effortless. Generational talent.
I don’t consider back sided passive aggressive statements when our Gators were so awesome she had no choice but to acknowledge their greatness as complimentary. Beth mowins gets a hard downvote from me.
We have 1. Mia tagged out a runner going to second and threw to Joyce at 1B for a double play. It was against Ga. Southern.
Ava Brown started the game, but was taken out after the 2nd inning. Kara Hammock threw 4.1 innings, then Keagan Rothrock got the last 2 outs. Pitching tonight was bad. We gave up 12 hits, walked 7, hit one and threw 2 wild pitches. Gotta do better to beat Duke tomorrow night.
Without Rothrock, the pitching staff ERA against mid major teams is north of 4. Red can't start pitching soon enough.
I read on a national forum that the strike zone in last night's game was the size of a postage stamp. The only called strikes were pitches right down the middle. That The Florida Coach was yelling at the umpire, through out. Pitchers react to a small strike zone by throwing right down the middle which results in well hit balls by both teams.
Am I the only one concerned with the amount of hits that make it between 2nd and 3rd? I know we have had greatness in that area of the field but the grounders that just roll on to the outfield seem to be at a higher rate than average
