Do you care about servicing the ISS or not? Do you care about having new satellites put in orbit? Would you rather pay Russia to do it for more money?
Sure if there was an equal option, since there isn’t there is not really any competition and it’s being done cheaper than before I don’t see the issue.
I had to look it up but this new credit comes from the Biden Inflation reduction act. I guess your meant Biden was colluding with Musk since he was the one that passed it.
I honestly didn't know the last part. Just knew it was painfully ironic that they now qualify for a govt subsidy while Elon is busy gutting other govt subsidies.
SpaceX has been awarded contracts for nine launches under the National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Phase 3 Lane 1 program, the U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command announced Oct. 18. The contracts worth $733.5 million span seven missions for the Space Development Agency (SDA) and two for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) projected to launch in late 2025 and 2026. These are part of the NSSL Phase 3 procurement of launch services for U.S. defense and intelligence agencies. That happened under the Biden Administration.
I guess you don’t know the US Gov including the military has needs when it comes to placing new satellites. How is it a Gov subsidy? Paying for a service is a subsidy?
Was Musk hacking government programs at the time Biden signed it? I think not. Don't you see the difference?
Funny SpaceX is literally the best and cheapest at doing this. It’s not even close otherwise and it’s been that way for years. Yet it’s some grift now because he went MAGA. Disappointed in the left here. Plenty to make hay over this isn’t it.
Hacking Gov programs? That suggests going into those program without permission nefariously seems his team had permission.
I know, just pointing out that other administrations have made contracts with Space X. Even after he came out in support for Trump.
Sorry, poor word choice. I didn't mean computer hacking, I meant hacking through thick underbrush with a machete.
Seems like spending is being cut. Plans to go back to the moon have been there for years now. Personally the ROI of going to the moon again is 100x what that of financing Sesame street in Iraq or some of the other crap the US has been handing money out for.
I've got no problem with SpaceX contracts. Just not while Musk is supposedly in charge of govt contracts. This is a massive conflict of interest.
