Since you're quoting Friedman, I would add that Milton Friedman is a libertarian who opposed government intervention in personal decisions. This is his opinion on abortion:
Apparently when it comes to citing Friedman you're rather selective since you've taken the exact opposite position every time that you've addressed the issue on this board.

I quote Uncle Miltie's economic views. I doubt his views on abortion were much different than my own or those in of Charles Krauthammer. Morning after pill who cares? To Abortion day before natural birth is murder. Sliding scale in between.

Now give me legislation. . .

Never mind. Abortion is all about the fight and has never been about solutions. Gotta keep that fundraising going baby!!!!

What do you expect? Bill read it on "America Wire News" and assumed that he was reading an accurate news article.

And to think when I pointed out he needed to fix himself after breaking his brain with conservative media he was like "I'm doing just fine actually"

This also happened in 1990. Maybe it just happened that the guy lied on his form. Maybe he had CIA “help” to get this aid or steer him to some easy money. Who is to say if it was a “conspiracy”. But if he did get help that was under Ronald Reagan/H.W. Bush doctrine.

Newsflash: the Reagan-H.W. Bush years saw lots of money going directly to future Al-Queda terrorists throughout the 80’s. Yet you’ll never see one of these drooling right wing media jokers call Ronald Reagan “the godfather of Al-Queda”.

Obama also literally assassinated him (a US citizen) extralegally. So for all the "government waste" losers, whatever he got for school I guess we saved on not doing a trial and imprisonment.

    Exactly.

    For those keeping track here.

Republican idol funded this guy (technicality H.W. Bush admin in 1990 but it was still prolly operating under Reagan era Doctrine).

Obama dropped a bomb on him in 2011. In 2011 I’m sure plenty of Republicans were feigning outrage about Obama killing this same guy without due process.

Way more than that. Perishable drugs. Just sitting around - all the people in foreign countries are furloughed along with ours.

It's almost parody how they just publicly tell lies and MAGA-led America just eats it up.

Yes, people will die. LOTS of them.

MAGA doesn't care. America doesn't care.

Imagine knowing absolutely nothing about any of this, but believing (and repeating) the lies publicly told by people like ........ Elon Musk.

I posted a video of Mike Benz being interviewed by Tucker roughly a year ago. Here's a new video of the man most responsible for breaking the USAID story

'Children are suffering': Human traffickers reportedly benefiting from Trump's cuts - Raw Story

Elon Musk's dismantling of the agency that provides overseas humanitarian aid harms children who rely on it for protection from online exploitation and human trafficking, a new report in Wired alleged.
    .............................................................
According to the report, the child safety programs saved more than 350 children in the Philippines during the first Trump administration and arrested nearly 100 alleged criminals. "The new cuts also come as record levels of online child sexual abuse imagery are being discovered," Burgess wrote.

The article quoted an employee of a South American child protection group who said, “Victims and perpetrators alike originate from diverse regions and countries, underscoring the necessity for continued international engagement and coordinated efforts to address these crimes comprehensively. The interruption of these funds inevitably limits the scope and reach of these critical services."

US Funding Cuts Are Helping Criminals Get Away With Child Abuse and Human Trafficking | WIRED

Counter-human-trafficking funding often includes money for projects that help to crack down on online child exploitation and sexual abuse. Funding can be provided to international organizations that coordinate efforts and work with partners, like Mulop’s CJVFFT, on the ground. The funding can directly support victims, as well as providing expertise to officials in countries, and stop more children becoming targets.
    ...........................
LWOB has, along with partner organizations, identified around 200 victims of human trafficking in Tanzania, with the majority referred to safe houses, says Lulu Makwale, a victim service coordinator at Lawyers Without Borders. “Most of the funding for the safe houses has been paused, meaning the services and the needs of the victim are also being paused too,” Makwale says. She says the organization has been linking up shelters to investigators up until now. “Victims may not be connected well now to the law enforcement,” Makwale says.

As well as supporting victims directly, many of the efforts also provide training or technical assistance to police forces, allowing them to better investigate crimes. One program listed on the State Department’s list of counter-trafficking funding says it is providing training to combat online child sexual exploitation for 10,000 police officers, prosecutors, and judges in 100 countries.

The person with links to work in a European country says their organization has 74 investigations into traffickers ongoing, plus 66 prosecutions that are underway. They say that the funding changes will have a “significant and negative impact on these criminal trials” and the safety of people who may give evidence in the cases.

Electing a convicted felon, adjudicated and admitted sexual assaulter, who enacted a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election?

This thread isn't about that. Please stay on topic.

Democrats blanket defending an obscure institution that does something American voters don’t particularly want; they are defending it without explaining their own priorities.

Defending USAID Is Political Suicide for Democrats
