NCAA To Consider Coaches' Proposal To Combat Fake Injuries

    This reminds me of the famous Gator Flop in 1971. (I would have called it the Florida Flop for the illiteration.) That's when the entire Gator defense flopped down and allowed Miami to score a TD. The purpose being to get the ball back (the Gators were ahead in a blowout) so John Reaves could set a passing record before time expired. UM Coach Fran Curci refused to shake Doug Dickey's hand after the game. Curci called it "the worst thing I've ever seen in football."

    TV networks generate more revenue when there are time-outs for injuries by showing more commercials. Look for them to lobby against this potential new rule. [/s]

    The players jumping in the fountain after the game was sweet icing on the cake. We out-Caned the Canes in every sense of the word that day.
