what is the quickest way to neutralize dogedjt?

would a recession be better or worse than what is on the horizon if Musk gets even more control and we continue to alienate our friends around the world and antagonize our enemies all while weaking our defenses and fostering domestic unrest with poverty and pointed misinformation to fuel hatred?

Sadly, this is far beyond policy differences. Those I can deal with. This is dangerously close at this moment to destroying our democratic structure entirely.

that started when the senate refused to vote on the evidence, not once, but twice.

accelerated when J6 wasn't properly prosecuted and llowed him to run again

supercharged when Musk saw the opportunity to take control of the us gubmnt with the fool as a mouthpiece.

finalized by a drastically misinformed public

    now in process

Some of the blame also falls on Garland imo…no reason any of those cases should have taken that long to be brought

and the man who appointed Garland. that is my second point, the prosecution should have been completed before the election and he would not have been qualified to run or the american people would have seen the evidence that the J6 committee did

All water under the bridge at this point. How much damage can he do by the mid terms? Judging by the last three weeks: a shit ton.

Sets one hell of a precedent that following court orders is optional. Shouldn't that apply to all of us, or just to some of us?

To be fair, if you have money and pull this has always been the case. Now it’s just being done out in the open and they don’t care who sees it

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/liz-ch...ump-abuse-of-power-jan-6-second-term-219cc7b7

By design, a president’s awesome executive power must be checked by both Congress and the courts. Since Jan. 6, 2021, we have learned that our current Congress won’t play this role. Republican senators such as Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and J.D. Vance have shown that they won’t step forward to check Mr. Trump’s power. Even Sen. Mike Lee, who explicitly agreed on Jan. 6 that Mr. Trump’s plan to seize power was unconstitutional, now pushes crackpot conspiracy theories about the nature of the attack.

House Republicans are even worse. Some were personally involved in Mr. Trump’s Jan. 6 plans. Others were too fearful of losing their primaries or of threats of violence to stand up and stop him. Although Congress could check Mr. Trump’s power by impeaching, convicting and removing him, this would require sufficient Republican cooperation to reach the required two-thirds supermajority in the Senate. Given recent history, it would be foolish to expect Republicans to impeach and convict in a second term, no matter what Mr. Trump does. We also know from recent history that Mr. Trump can operate the executive branch with “acting” officials who would never be confirmed by the Senate.

That leaves the courts. But almost every day, Mr. Trump and his allies declare that our judiciary and our Justice Department are “weaponized,” illegitimate and corrupt. Mr. Trump ignored judicial rulings in dozens of cases rejecting his stolen-election claims, including several rulings by federal judges he appointed. The rulings of our courts have force only because the chief executive respects, obeys and enforces them. You can bet that in a second term Mr. Trump would continue to demonize judges and would refuse to comply with or enforce judicial rulings he opposes. Once that happens, our system of checks on presidential power unravels.

It's not only OK now to attempt to overturn an election ........ there's an entire "political party" whose members are compelled to make excuses for it and lie about it. And a politically motivated judiciary has shown that they will enable it.

This isn't hyperbole - it's our actual reality.

The United States is being run by a criminal and a criminal organization.

And even if the SC rules against them, which I think they will on the more egregious violations of the Constitution, who's going to make Trump abide by the ruling? That's what they are already doing now with lower court rulings -- just ignoring them.

do you think that potus should be required to obey court orders?

what should happen if he refuses to obey the court orders and stalls the funding indefintely while the appeals pend?

And if he defies the Supreme Court? What should happen then?

Will you and MAGA support impeachment or the end of our democracy?

Meanwhile, countless thousands of lives are being put in jeopardy or turmoil a the whims of a ketamine addicted billionaire intent on becoming a worldwide king maker

For starters, I supported impeachment last time, and yes he should have to obey court orders. So not sure why you lump me with maga. Did Jo hack your account?

Dangole is referring to how I kept telling everyone that our democracy always prevails...and it did in 2020 just as I predicted. He is asking me if I still feel that way.

    I do.

He was wrong then and now wants to push the issue 5 years later again. Nothing has changed my opinion of the strength of our democracy.

I sometimes think dangole and his type would celebrate the downfall of democracy just to claim a weird victory.

    Somewhere in Time
    Keep thinking that.

    Then tell me why:

    1) Trump has suspended making it illegal to bribe foreign officials.
    2) Trump is ignoring court orders.
    3) Trump whipped up a mob who then attempted to overthrow the government on Jan. 6th and instigated an assault on law enforcement officers.
    4) Trump had national secrets in his bathroom after losing the 2020 election, including ones about nuclear weapons.
    5) Trump campaign officials were coordinating with intelligence agents linked to Russia before his first election.
    6) Trump invited Russians to the White House Oval Office after he won the election so they could take a victory lap.
    7) Trump looked like Putin's bitch in Helsinki during his first term.
    8) Trump tried to compel Ukraine to go after Joe Biden before the 2020 election and was impeached TWICE.
    9) Trump went after officials at the ICC who were attempting to put out an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin and sanctioned the ICC.

Sooner or later, once the country is tearing out each others throats over what you THINK is corruption make sure you look to the Kremlin because someone is going to be smiling.

You were the tool and it was soooooo easy to use you like one.

MAGA is, after all, the perfect Russian sleeper agent. They never knew they were one because they never looked at their own motivations for anything.

Which is not a surprise because they completely lack any ability for self-reflection. If they had looked deep, they would have seen a yawning black void that all craven power seekers have deep down inside.

Unfortunately, it can never be filled even by attaining power. They will sell their country, their Constitution, their families, and their souls to gain more power while satiation always recedes into the distance.
