As you all are aware, it took Deep Thought 7.5 million years to learn that the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything was 42.

Then, after 12 billion years the Super Computer known as Earth was destroyed by Vogons to make way for a space bypass just before Earth was set to return the question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

Well today we may have solved the mystery.

It seems 42 represents the odds (as in 1 in 42) that the Earth gets struck by an asteroid in 2032.

Not a day too soon for some.

Better watch out for the policy exclusions. I heard it only pays out in cases of world-ending asteroids.

That seems like more than enough time to drink myself to death. I hope the Gators make the playoffs before then.

    checks bucket list..starts ticketing..:ninja2:

seriously, at 60, I'm doing that right now. What can I physically do on the list that I might not be able to in 5 years. prioritize that

catch a black Marlin (only one left, third time's a charm?), hike New Zealand, dive the great barrier reef (second time) is the winer so off to Oz and NZ next fall. first dive was on a cattleboat with family. Patagonia/Chile/Peru hiking came in close second

True, but Trump will negotiate with the asteroid by threatening tarrifs on the icy rock if it doesn't agree to splash in the Atlantic as it had already planned to do.

Someone schedule an FSU/UGA game that day. Then we can finally actually root for the meteor!

Is there a "named" asteroid deductible?
