Best part of the halftime show was the social media screenshot I saw of someone posting that it was the first time rap had taken center stage at the halftime show, along with the response:

“Oh my god, it actually happened! Someone literally did Forget About Dre!”

They paid *HOMELESS* ppl to go into a *SHELTER* facility with not great heating, during a cold snap.

    The inhumanity!!!! :eek::devil::eek:

Would these unshelteteed homeless folks have been better off left out in the actual elements? o_O

    What am I missing here?

I enjoyed the hell out of the halftime show. Fell dead asleep right after *uncle Sam* intro'd, and woke up like a min or 2 into the 3rd quarter, rather refreshed.

From what I gather, I didn't miss much.

The site was a hasty creation due the winter storm approaching (in mid January...not for the Super Bowl) and though it lacked some things (at first) was certainly better than a sidewalk with 10 inches of snow. It also says the Super Bowl had enough heat and blankets.

I certainly question the financials, but it clearly was organized due to the winter storm.

So your suggestion was to not open a large shelter in the face of a historic winter storm?

Did you complain with Cali did this for the Super Bowl, or just when a pub governor was involved?

Or work with the city to open their far better shelter for far less money before the storm? Or work with the nonprofits to handle this in the short-term while building facilities for long-term management? Or, if you refuse to do any of that, do a better job of setting up the facility rather than just declaring it better than nothing (which is arguably based on where the homeless are encamped in New Orleans)?

I suppose if you present things as the only two options being a crooked scheme to put people up in a warehouse vs. doing nothing, Louisiana is Mother Theresa. I just have a feeling if some communist country did something like this it would be evidence of their depravity and systemic failures.

If I had taken that stupid bet, I wouldn't have to deal with any of this nonsense.

The important thing is that I was right, as usual. Take note.

Actually, i don't think you would have won the bet, as--unless I straight up missed it--the Chiefs never even attempted a kick. Not even an extra point.

So 0 for 0 attempts woulda been a wash. Neither of us would have won or lost. Just like if we hadn't bet at all...

So at least you may take consultation that even if you had taken my benign friendly wager... your commie spam would still be subject to my scrutiny... lol!

I'm not going to say I pretend to know the terms of a bet I had no interest in taking, but this seems kinda weasely to me. If the terms were he had to make a FG for you to win, the fact that he didnt (whether by missing or lack of attempts) should have been a loss for you. If you had prop bet on him making a FG, they wouldnt have refunded your money because he didnt attempt one. The house would have "won."

They were going to make them eat the warehouse? That's pretty harsh man.

17 million dollars to put about 100 homeless in a warehouse for a couple nights? By my math, they could have bought each of them a $170,000 home.... What a messed up country...

Who is stopping you from taking in the homeless?
    What a hypocrite.
You just like to spend other peoples money.
