Which poster is against an actual DoD audit? Hell I’d even be conceptually in favor of a doge audit of DoD had they started there and not already revealed their complete political hackery.

Maher and Stewart criticizing and mocking the Democrats isn't new, and that Stewart interview is from 2023. Some Democrats get irritated by it, but it's kind of refreshing in this political climate when people are willing to critique and ask the hard questions of their own side.

I want massive govt entities to be accountable for the trillions of dollars of tax payers money they spend.
While do think there are some roaches scurrying I think most of it is mismanagement on a ridiculous scale.
The roaches who used taxpayer money for is seemingly political pet projects are minor and a drop in the bucket( still needs to be cleared out) but the bigger issue is something like DoD with a 4 trillion dollar budget not passing an audit in 7years. And we are supposed to be ok with that?

Well right now G8tr Gr8t seems to be sure that any audit done with Trump or DoGE in charge is only done for retribution and also.. won’t be accurate because it will be Trump and musk doing it. ( and not 100s of auditors working on it at once.
My whole point to this ridiculous discussion was that the DoD acts like the excuse.. oops we don’t know where that money went.. is acceptable and I mentioned that that would not fly for John QPubkic. The DoD has had seven years of failed audits. Seven years of mismanagement of our taxpayer funds. It’s well past time for them to be held accountable.

 

The people screaming loudest about “accountability” in military spending were in favor of invading Iraq and probably think invading Gaza is a fantastic idea too.

I’m not ok with govt failing audits, but at least they acknowledge the issue. When an autocrat takes over it’s all graft and no serious audits happen. Autocrats never fail an audit. You think that’s because there is no graft?

I think they could deploy some modern inventory management which may aid the DoD, but at this stage they are not being honest actors.
