As areas move away from vaccines and as we diminish the efforts of groups like the CDC & NIH we’ll see more of this…. “A measles outbreak is growing in a Texas county with dangerously low vaccination rates. In late January, two school-age children from Gaines County were hospitalized with measles. Since an estimated 1 in 5 people with the disease end up in the hospital, the two cases suggested a larger outbreak. As of Feb. 7, there were 14 confirmed and six probable cases, said Zach Holbrooks, executive director of the South Plains Public Health District, which includes Gaines. The department is investigating many other potential cases among close contacts, he said, in hopes of treating people quickly and curbing the spread of the virus.” Measles Outbreak Mounts Among Children in One of Texas’ Least Vaccinated Counties - KFF Health News
I would still give my kids the mmr shot. But I have never cared if someone did not. That said…we sadly politicized Covid to a disastrous point. Pre Covid the left was probably more anti vax than the right. Though close. But with the politicization of Covid and the failing of basic science and medicine. We now have more than ever from both sides saying…hold on. And you cannot blame them! The propaganda only works so long in a situation like this. But the damage will last for decades…
Have we ever vaccinated these illegals coming into our country? Maye we force them to get vaccinated.
To all the anti-vaxxers out there- your lifespan has more than doubled since the dark ages due to the miracles of modern medicine. What don’t you understand about this?
Note to the vaxxers, I got all the COVID vaccines and boosters and still spent 3 days in the hospital with COVID. So much for your "miracles of modern medicine".
You also could have died if you got it that bad that you still ended up in the hospital after receiving the vaccine. Nothing is 100% fool proof but the odds are significantly in your favor if you get vaccinated against any disease.
Yeah my bout with COVID was a bit strange. I possibly caught it in the hospital or something even stranger. In the summer of 2023 I spent 5 days in a Missouri hospital with congestive heart failure, they never tested me for covid. They let me out of the hospital to fly home and the next day I was sick again. The first thing the Orlando hospital did was test me for COVID and I was positive so I spent 3 days there. To this day I don't know if covid kicked off the congestive heart failure or if I caught the covid in the Missouri hospital.
Absolutely no evidence to back this up. There is plenty of anecdotal evidence in the old covid thread of those who took the shot(s) and got covid that knocked them down. Just like those who did not get the shot but had minimal effects from Covid when they got it. This shot should have never been authorized for anyone under 65. And now it is arguable it should have never been authorized for anyone.
