I agree they screwed up but do not see anything other than a public rebuke happening on this one FCC Considers Revoking CBS License Over Kamala Harris' '60 Minutes' Interview Controversy
If a media company doesn't lose their license after spending almost a billion dollars for lying for a certain candidate then I see know reason why CBS should lose theirs
So, Trump doubles down on his lawsuit against CBS …. seeking $20billion, now, and adds another plaintiff. I wonder if this litigation becomes a class-action lawsuit this next week. https://www.nationalreview.com/news...-minutes-releases-unedited-harris-transcript/
Good question. My understanding is the FCC licenses individual stations, not networks like CBS, NBC, ABC, or Fox
I'm pretty sure that FCC doesn't license networks it licenses individual television and radio stations.
Wikipedia says there about 250 CBS affiliates in the US. Don’t you know that Musk and team have that termination email ready to fly using the FCC’s contact list. List of CBS television affiliates (by U.S. state) - Wikipedia
Just don't watch or buy from their advertisers. I do not believe in licenses or government intervention. The First Amendment is sacred regardless of what side you are on. The Second Amendment protects the First. Period.
Trump has been threatening to pull licenses of media he doesn’t like for sometime. Of course, being Trump, he doesn’t know that CBS is not licensed by the FCC
Imo this is more about trump and his team wanting a ruling to use against all media outlets not aligned with them, those left of OAN. Authoritarians have an history attacking media. Look at Putin’s control over Russia media. And other Authoritarians throughout history. This is just the beginning.
Yaaasss. And who might be the first to violate such an agreement were it to exist? Heavily edited DonOld on Fox? Such a petty thin-skinned man-child.
