more more raise that score CBS News poll: 70% of voters say Trump keeping campaign promises, 53% approval rating
So what OP came to say is that Trump has the average approval rating after a new term in office. Biden had the same numbers
I won't be analyzing that poll, so I'll take it at face value. This would simply mean that 70% of voters are abjectly ignorant. Or did Trump even increase removal of illegal immigrants? Did Trump improve inflation yet? Maybe OP can help out here - what has Trump actually done that is fulfilling a campaign promise?
I can’t argue with that. Trump told voters what he was going to do so they were warned. But remember that Biden’s approval rating was higher than Trump’s now, so we’ll see where he is by summer when people are worse off economically than they are now, or things haven’t gotten better.
He is over delivering…no one thought the libbies could lose their minds any more than they had. Sad, but here we are. Theater is sweet. Thanks Trump.
Isn’t he violating campaign promises since he disavowed Project 2025 during the campaign, but he’s appointed people responsible for writing it and following its playbook?
That’s the liberals freaking out over the corruption that’s about to be uncovered. Notice the liberals have no desire to uncover the corruption themselves and unearth $50billion being sent out by the treasury to people without IDs or social security numbers. A liberals dream is about to be shattered.
Yep, Trump promised to a lot of stupid shit and he's keeping a lot of those promises. He's not keeping others though. In particular, he promised to bring down prices. That's not going to happen and he's not even talking about it now. As for approval ratings, Biden had better numbers 3 weeks into his presidency.
Yes, he completed disavowed Project 2025 during the campaign and now he's using it as his administration's playbook. Everyone knew he was lying.
Meawhile. 57% of registered voters have an unfavorable opinion of the Democratic Party, the highest percentage since Quinnipiac started asking the question in 2008.
In the end the one promise that he made to lower prices will be the one that matters the most and it's the one he cannot keep and the one that will ultimately cause his approval rating to tank.
Chuck Schumer is the face of the Democrat Party now. Can't imagine why they're having such a ratings problem. https://youtube.com/shorts/bJJrxwtEk3U?si=zD2EPxIULCA3pYxn
Just a reminder of how predictive a presidents rating during his first two or three months in office are predictive of his ratings even at the end of his first year. Or focus on George W. Bush's second term keeping mind that the consensus among Republicans following his reelection in 2004 in which he won by a popular vote margin greater than Trump did in 2024 and had larger Republican majorities in both the House and Senate was that his reelection was heralding a permanent Republic majority.
