Fundamentally, I try to be a fair person, but I may have crossed the line. Usually I try to empathize with folks before I come back at them. But, unfortunatley, I was told I insulted another poster by a moderator. I am therefore publicly apologizing for the hurt my post made to whoever this person was through my thoughtlessness. Learning it is better to just use the IGNORE function so I am not triggered by whoever it was who complained about my thoughtlessness I have made some changes. Lesson learned: I have made some pre-emptive IGNORES so I can't possibly make this mistake again!

I guess one of the silver linings to all of this is if the Catholic Church and other religious organizations aren't using US tax dollars to spread their particular blend of religion, misogyny, and documented sexual abuse. Turns out MAGA has replaced them with theirs. Shame 200 million people who rely on that aid will be potentially affected, and I say "potentially" because I am sure there are other forces in the world waiting to come into the picture and push THEIR ideology (I'm looking at you China) on the masses, but one of the richest organizations in human history needs to sell off their extensive assets and wear a sack cloth if they believe in helping people (MAGA thinking here).
