Chances are that most of these items are just completely made up bullshit, but for the ones that are real, how do you know that they are wasteful and abusive?

Any evidence that the list is accurate? the claim about $50 million to Gaza for condoms apparently wasn’t.

And I can't wait to see the budget deficit come way down with all these spending cuts. The current projection for 2025 is $1.9 trillion. I bet they will cut that by at least a few billion with all the spending they are eliminating.

Democrats Warn Trump’s Unelected Shadow Government Is Dismantling Their Unelected Shadow Government | Babylon Bee

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Alarm bells are sounding across the United States government, where Democrats are warning that President Trump's unelected shadow government is totally dismantling the unelected shadow government Democrats worked so hard to build.

After decades spent entrenching a bureaucracy dedicated to doing their bidding, Democrats have taken to the streets in protest of Trump hiring unelected officials to fire their unelected officials.

"We are literally watching Democracy crumble before our very eyes," said Senator Chuck Schumer, shouting outside shuttered USAID offices. "Elon Musk, who may I remind you is unelected, is coming in and demolishing these institutions of people that are unelected. It is just so not fair. Fight! Fight! Fight!"

Many are calling Elon Musk's employment in the government a Constitutional crisis, stating that other than the three million people already working for the government, the President hiring someone to do a job is simply unheard of. "Allowing an unelected official to work in the government is basically fascism," explained Treasury Department employee Arlene Magill. "We cannot allow a citizen like Musk to see what taxpayer money is spent on. Only the thousands of unelected employees who work at Treasury are allowed to do that."

this list is ridiculous. $2M for pottery classes in Morocco. There's a lot of americans that visit and would like to have some well done souvenirs. That should not be cut. And $2M to promote tourism in Lebanon. How many americans go overseas on vacations every year but probably skip over that country because they do not know much about it. Same with the $6M in tourism to Egypt. And definitely need to keep the $20M to recreate sesame street in Iraq. Children's education is just as important in Iraq as it is in countries like Afghanistan.

The Western dialogue on this is pretty interesting. If anyone hunts out west on public vs private lands and the different access laws.

Utah followed by Montana and others have had movements to try and get all Federal lands turned over to the states for management. A number of hunting groups have urged caution over fears of selling the lands, big corporate handovers, etc.

Now you have Musk tweeting (or whatever the heck it is being called) that the only State lands should be those that have buildings on them. I certain he meant to say, and statues too! Damn Doggy is expanding. Fire sales!

The problem with the gubment workers (imho)is difficulty in firing due to layers of Union agreements. Poor negotiations over the years. Especially during the lean years, oh give them this benny, it won’t cost us……. The problem with doge is it is run by a bunch of bully tards that have been fed facts by newsmax.

Unfortunately business and Governance are not the same. Especially private equity. Did noone see Pretty Woman! ;)

Now get off my lawn, I have to put another coat of epoxy on a flyrod. People eating tasty animals you know.

One of the few examples where I prefer government.
I like the national forests and the preserved land out west.
    Hope it stays that way…preserved.

US Treasury made $100bn payment to individuals without ID — Elon Musk

Explaining DOGE’s efforts at the Treasury Department, Musk said, “Yesterday (Friday), I was told that there are currently over $100 billion per year of entitlement payments to individuals with no SSN or even a temporary ID number. If accurate, this is extremely suspicious.

“When I asked if anyone at Treasury had a rough guess for what percentage of that number is unequivocal and obvious fraud, the consensus in the room was about half, so $50 billion per year or $1 billion per week!”

“This is utterly insane and must be addressed immediately,” he stated.

As of the earlier hours of Saturday, US District Judge Paul Engelmayer blocked DOGE from accessing the personal financial data of millions of Americans in Treasury Department records.

Now we know why they want Musk blocked

We are damning an entire agency because “guy lied on form in 1990”?

As this person was born in the U.S. not even sure how much it impacted his actual ability to go to college in the U.S., although clearly he lied to obtain financial aid. I’m guessing this didn’t even come out of any new audit, but was instead part of Aulaki’s classified intelligence file that was known to the govt for a long time. Now it’s being “leaked” to smear USAID. Pathetic.

Kind of ironic given a lot of these future Al-Queda terrorists were originally having money thrown at them by Ronald Reagan and his CIA. Guess some of you are trying to memory hole that aspect? I don’t condemn Reagan for any of that, it’s just an example of unintended consequences and hindsight always being 20/20
