got back from my grocery shopping. Warehouse store eggs were a little over $5/dozen. Grocery store was a little over $8/dozen.

I bought a dozen at Wal Mart today for $6.12 a dozen, I also got a dozen from a friend who has chickens for nothing.
Just providing information, that was what you wanted wasn't it? That $6.12 is 0.43 below the price you had in your OP. And my average price for two dozen eggs was #3.06 per dozen.
