MBB OGT: #6 FLORIDA at #1 Auburn -- February 8, 2025 -- 4 PM [ESPN2]

I've watched Mississippi State a few times this year and Kugel has played pretty well for them. A little streaky, but he's their 4th leading scorer averaging 21 minutes per game. Not one of their main stars, but s stready contributor. Seems to have fit into his role there.

 

Lunardi will pick things at the last minute knowing what is what and claim to be a genius.

We might be a two seed but picking us always against Duke sucks for Duke.

 

The top two teams lost today, #1 Auburn (vs Gators) and #2 Duke (at Clemson). #3 Alabama (at Arkansas), #4 Tennessee (at Oklahoma) and #5 Houston (at Colorado) all won. Where will we be ranked on Monday? I think the polls will look like this:

2. Florida 20-3
3. Tennessee 20-4
4. Auburn 21-2
5. Houston 19-4
6. Duke 20-3

Id put Aub ahead of the Vols. The Tigers did beat them in a rock fight not long ago. JMO.

I didn't forget. But winning at Auburn should give us bonus points (and we do have a win against the vols).

 

My favorite was the sound that the Auburn's student section made after every Clayton Jr 35 ft bombs went SWISH. Like an anguished Are You Effing Kidding Me Again? Gasp! So sweeet!

I’ve watched every game. This team can beat anyone on any given day…the almighty Duke as well! The team has had there duh moments but they are learning from and continually getting better! Today was statement

 

I totally disagree. Bilas, the Dukie homer that he is, was very commendatory and spoke favorably of the Gatorboyz tonight...

 

Coming into the season Klavzar's defense terrified me. Thought his lack of defense might really limit his minutes. So great to see him compete well on defense to the point that he becomes a real dangerous offensive weapon off the bench.

 

By "big hairy sweaty monkey on his back" are you referring to Bruce Pearl?

 

I was open minded about the Hough pickup when Golden recruited him but I never for a moment thought he would ever be doing some of the things for us that he now is.
