Arkansas has put together back-to-back road wins at UK and Texas to suddenly climb back onto the bubble. Our road win at Arky has now become a Quad 1 win.

 

Yea, it seems like they have figured things out. I expect them to make ncaas.

 

Pitino can flat out coach, no matter what you think of his personality. UConn goes down - again.....

 

The guy wins everywhere he goes.

 

The Athletic had an article on him today. He started the season same way as always, shooting drills to see who could hit 3’s. Problem: worst shooting team he ever had.

So he did the unthinkable: they became a mid-range jumper team. Hit like 15 of 17 against UConn, including a game winner two steps inside the three point line. Hurley was speechless in post game, that coaches have eliminated that shot and he just got beat by it.

From conference doormat to conference leader in two seasons. Kudos to @tampajack1 for calling it.

 

Addendum: Pitino put on a full court press the whole game against UConn. Guess it is an option against high end teams, when players buy in.

 

Wait...but Dan Hurley is the greatest coach in the game, possibly the greatest coach that ever lived.

 

My goodness, Miami is 1-10 in ACC. FSU is 5-7. In the ACC.

Man, did Georgia’s offense go ice cold in the second half. They did not make a shot from the field through the first 12 minutes of the second half. That’s awful! They also only made 4 field goals, the entire 2nd half and scored only 21 points. The rest of their points, which weren’t many, came off of free throws. 4 made fg’s in 20 minutes is pretty terrible.

 

Wow, 46 to 21 in the 2nd half - what a beatdown. 12 minutes without a FG - i remember those offenses well. TGFTG - thank god for Todd Golden

 

I just came here to say the same thing. I remember all too well the 5 minute scoring droughts that happended 2 or 3 times a game under White. But 12 minutes without a field goal? Geez. Now we get 17-0 runs to start a half in our favor. What a difference.

 

Boy do I wish we could re-do the 2d half against UT with a different outcome.
