Billy Napier got a HC job because of his recruiting and Louisiana being desperate for talent, not for the 51st best offense in the country against Pac 12 defenses. Billy had the Number 4 pick in the draft and it was barely average. Thats why.

If you are referring to CBN being fired at Clemson that was more about Dabo reworking his staff soon after after he was hired. That’s pretty common. Seems I recall SOS being fired by Bill Curry (Georgia Tech?) and we see how that turned out.

So your "argument" is that they weren't "real" when Billy was there, but you also seem to be arguing that the conference they are in now isn't real vs the Pac when Billy was there. So which is it? Just an FYI, your list of OC's included guys from UNLV, TCU, Colo, Wash St, and Utah.....are those schools "real"?
For better or worse, Billy is who he is. His scheme isn’t ideal for putting pressure on opposing defenses by targeting weaknesses. I also don’t think he has the consistent killer instinct needed to get our offense to where it needs to be to win a championship. Plus the player rotation he does without any consideration for the “hot hand” will cost us if it doesn’t change. Can you imagine Billy having Skattebo from ASU as our back here and rotating him in every 2nd to 3rd series?
You guys are ridiculous. THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!! CHIP FREAKING KELLY!! HIS SCHEME DOESN’T TARGET WEAKNESSES!! We have seen 3 years of building the basics of a team from scratch. Digging out of a deep hole. This past season clearly demonstrated that the team is getting their feet under them for the first time. And they finished the season rolling back to back upsets and a dominating win over our hated rival. So you think based on that you fully understand the limitations of Billy’s offense and are qualified to pick apart all its weaknesses? Ridiculous
I would tend to agree there is a weakness in putting pressure on opposing defenses, probably my biggest gripe. And I would tend to agree he goes conservative with a lead, although youth and defensive concerns sometimes justify that. I totally disagree on the Wr and rb rotation. Keeping those guys fresh, engaged, and happy while also developing depth is the way to go imo.How glad were we when Webb and Montrell were dinged that we had guys ready
But those personnel decisions cost us against Tennessee and Miami. Against Miami, we looked like we were participating in a scrimmage with the amount of rotation we did on the OL. We weren’t playing our best 5 OL and sticking with them. Against Tennessee, Johnson was gashing the Tennessee defense, and he gets pulled and the drive stalls and ends with no points. He makes multiple grown man runs to get the ball to first and goal at the one, and instead of feeding him the ball, we go QB sneak and fumble it. Maybe if we went for the throat, we could get a large enough lead to play the backups, instead of having to rotate out our starters, who are supposed to be our best players, when the game is still in doubt in order to get experience for the backups. Are we playing to win games, or are we playing to get experience for the backups in case the starters go down? Which of the teams that were in the playoffs used our rotation strategy on offense? They had RB/WR who were the man, and they only took them out to give them a breather, not rotate them on a schedule with the backups for entire series. The difference in approach may work at a lower level of football, but there is a reason most teams don’t do it this way.
