Born a biological woman. Let's just use the correct terminology. If one doesn't want to refer to a transwomen as women simply refer to them as MTF transgender persons.

First of all, the OP is a definitely confused, bless her heart. She thinks that transmen are folks that transition from male to female...

Secondly, I think the OP person really means that transwomen should not compete against genetic women (XX), but she is still wondering why we are using cars now instead of the venerable horse and buggy. Electric lights you say? Blasphemy. Gas lights were so much better...

Finally, I do love my gay, lesbian and trans brothers and sisters and IDGAF what they like or do between themselves as consenting adults. C'est la vie, have fun and please be safe...

However, I do have issues with transwomen (XY) competing with genetic women (XX), because it is not a fair battlefield. IMHO, it's just unfair to the cis women...

That's easy... step outside of your little neocon bubble and learn some simple medical terminology. It's rather simple for simpletons who were never really exposed to science..
Good luck and let us more knowledgeable science people know if you get stuck or need a hand...

    Sounds very complicated.

Besides, it's completely useless now that Trump signed the EO reinstating common sense, and keeping men and women sports separate, as it always was.

So I don't have to guess who was what when.

    ;)

PS--my "neo-con bubble" =the real world. Your *world* is the polluted, distorted psychedelic one that requires prychotropic hallucinogens to make any sense.

Yeah, it’s so simple that one needs to read medical journals and do a dive into the DSM-5 to find out who is what.

It is stunning how poorly the Democrats handled this issue. They were beholden to a very small, screwed-up group of people and ignored what 90% of people wanted. It is hard to understand why they stuck with their position when it was such an obvious disaster.

Not sure but it seems like the democrats are beholden to a great many small groups thereby hoping that it gives them big group power. Trouble is, all those little sets of groups, are sometimes in direct opposition of one of the other small groups. It's very difficult to be all things to all people.

Column by Sally Jenkins of the Washington Post says it all regarding Trump and his motivation for the ban.
Ban on trans athletes seeks to demonize, not protect
How you do something matters as much as what you do. Donald Trump doesn’t just want transgender athletes out of track meets and swimming pools; his latest executive order is calculated to inflict maximal fear and public humiliation on them. He directs federal officials to investigate trans women athletes who apply for visas to compete in this country in events such as the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics for “fraud.” He frames his latest order as part of a “war” to “reclaim our culture and our laws.”

Plenty of citizens reasonably object to transgender athletes in women’s sports, treatment for gender dysphoria in the young, or pronoun policing, but they manage to do so with civility and respect for fellow souls. No one more outspokenly defends women’s sports than Martina Navratilova, but she also steadfastly defends human rights and expresses affection and understanding for pioneering trans player Renee Richards, her friend and former coach.

Trump’s order and his language in presenting it seem calculated to provoke hostility and misunderstanding, and they’re liable to poke collateral holes in the civil rights of all of us. That is quite possibly the point: to dragoon good people into a dark place they never intended to go.

The NCAA, if they are being honest, are happy Trump did the “dirty work” for them here. It gives them cover politically, as they were no doubt going to face an avalanche of lawsuits down the road if it continued.

Without taking a position on the merits of their decision it looks like the NCAA changed its position in response to intimidation by the Orange One. I would add that it actually affects around 10 athletes. You are probably correct and whether they agree with Trump's policy or not it does take them off the hook.

I think they were challenging whether or not she really was born a woman. As far as I know, she was. A rare genetic disorder that gives a woman an athletic advantage should not be a bar from competing with other women. I don’t see that as any different than whatever natural genetic advantages that made Michael Jordan a superhuman on the basketball court. What we’re talking about here are actual males who want to compete as females. We have separated men’s and women’s sports for a good reason. In an open, liberal society if some men want to live as women for whatever reason, then they should be free to do so without fear of being harmed or harassed. But in that same open, liberal society there are limits to which we can compel other free people to play along. Competitive sports is one of those areas where there needs to be a clear line drawn.

Point taken, but yes. As long as Alabama and Florida compete with each other in sports, then it has to be under the same set of rules. I don’t have any problem with Florida and Alabama having a different set of rules on gambling, prostitution, abortion, or any number of other social issues. If I like another state’s rules enough, I can just go there. I do, however, have a problem with Alabama, say, awarding itself twice the number of athletic scholarships as Florida does.
