3 DC's, 2 OL ine coaches, 0 ST coaches and 0 offensive coordinators...It is almost like diving into a Will Muschamp wet dream.
Good move. If we’re not able to promote him it’s smart to extend his contract and give him a raise. Probably will be poached at some point but, the longer we keep the good coaches on staff the better.
Is Hartline that good of a WR coach or does he just recruit great talent to a talentless conference? Everyone said Eric Bienemy was a great OC - until he left KC. He's been fired twice since then.
Hmmmm, well, how good would he be without the Harrison's and Smith's of the world? He damn well better be a "good" coach, he only gets to work with the top 2 -3 receivers in college football every year.
This is on my mind too. I understand using the Co DC title as added incentive for a young, apparently rising star coach to come onboard. My concern is that Chatman is a rising star too. The guy helped develop depth on our DL with young, untested players. Also saw improvement in Jackson, Banks and Sapp,( I realize Sapp was primarily an edge, but think he was inside some too). Even Dez seemed steadier. Not to mention how the attitude of his players is very good. He has to be doing something right. Does bringing in a younger coach with that title have a backlash? I do trust CBN but, can’t help thinking this way.

Ryan Day is 70-10 at Ohio State and just won the NC. He gets a new 7yr $87.5mil contract. That seems like bargain compared to 19-19 7yr 51.8mil.
You shouldn't feel the need to virtue signal in order not to ruffle feathers. To date, you/we just hope it will work. But you're human and experienced so you know how it would feel to be "overlooked" and believe you have what it takes if an organization hired, from your POV, people who haven't been there and maybe no better a resume than yours.
