You raise a valid point. She's probably much better suited to be a company commander or a staff officer than the DNI, a position for which she both lacks the necessary qualifications and for which she would represent a serious risk to national security.

 

Not to mention her defense of Putin's invasion of Ukraine as well as her defense of Bashar Assad.

 

I didn’t hear her responses to questions about those things in the hearings

 

I didn't see the hearing in its entirety so I don't know for certain whether those issues were addressed although I assume that they were. That being said her history speaks for itself.

Understand her history but don’t know if she changed her views during the hearing. I only saw snippets of the hearing so no clue if it came up or not.
