Nothing I've read suggests the relocation of the Palestinians would be temporary. If you think Trump is just going to rehab and rebuild Gaza to hand it back to them, in any form or for any reason, I think you have a profound misunderstanding of Trump's nature. I don't think Trump is "floating," anything. I think he's dead serious about his vision of New Gaza rising from the rubble, and himself as the savior of the Middle East. He will indulge in that rosy dream until reality smacks it down.

Fortunately reality may smack down Trump's dream sooner rather than later. There is absolutely no way that Jordan and Egypt will accept Palestinian refugees from Gaza and maybe even more significantly none of Trump's "friends" in the Arab world including Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States will support Trump's plan.

Vastly underrated as a reason for America’s fanatical dedication to Israel is Biblical Premillennialism. Pete Hegseth, for example, wants to see the Temple restored in preparation for a thousand year reign of the Christ.

Bible read less recklessly, modern Israel has no more relevance in God’s economy than does Muncie, Indiana.

The olive tree was cursed nearly 2,000 years ago.

If the US remains in possession of the Stripe indefinitely…… do the residents become US citizens? If not, will the 14th amendment ….. as applied by lefties …. grant US citizenship to any children born in the Strip after the US “owns” it?

Among the approximately 1.7 million Gaza residents that Egypt and Jordan do not wish to take are both imbedded Hamas terrorists and Hamas sympathizers. Does anyone just think they will happily leave their home in Gaza, move to a country that doesn't want them, and there will be peace? Israel has one of the most sophisticated, best trained militaries in the world. Even they couldn't stop Oct 7. Really think we can protect an American built Gaza?

The issue is the Palestinians don't want peace. They want Palestine from the land to the sea, which translates into Israel wiped off the map. If the Palestinians wanted peace, they would have accepted the accords 25 years ago that Clinton worked out with Arafat and Israel.

I’m guessing the Palestinians feel entitled to their land in much the same way the Israeli’s feel entitled to the Palestinians’ land.

Egypt and Jordan don't want to be bombed by Israel because they've decided anyone sympathetic to Palestinian nationalism is a terrorist who doesnt want peace. Why become the next Lebanon by setting up more refugee camps that will become intervention targets for foreign aggressors? Why integrate them if Israel decides some place is the next Beirut? If the question of Palestinian statehood isnt resolved in favor of a separate Palestinian state or the end of Israeli Zionism, the obstacles to peace will be ever present.

The real question for MAGA is how many troops should we send to ensure this happens, how much money should we spend and how many years should our troops be required to stay?

How many troops do you think we will need in Gaza considering Israel is currently occupying it after leveling it? In fact, we may not need more than a few hundred troops, as this is a favor to Israel. They'll be the ones expected to pick up the tab for security.

Yeah, but this is so outlandish and ridiculous that those would pale in comparison. Cool. US Troops in GAZA! What could go wrong?

I love how the "America First" MAGA clowns are all in on the Middle East. Let's copy the Saudi's Sovereign Wealth Fund (and capitulate to their desires on anything they're willing to pay Trump for) and have a permanent US presence in GAZA! Mind-boggling stupidity.

Here's a novel idea. Let's give the whole region our backs! It's not like we need their oil anymore.

More like Beirut 2.0. Just wait. That is, if the bleating idiot actually does it. Like most things MAGA, it's probably just blather solely designed to irritate "the libs".

They won't. The Egyptians hate them and want nothing to do with them. One of those inconvenient truths the media - and dumbass MAGA - choose to ignore.

    Like everything, right?

Like I've said, shoot a baby in the face on national TV. They'd have the narrative justifying it out within an hour with every mindless lemming bleating the same talking points. If you need evidence, just look at the last 8 years. If you want more granular proof, just look at Ukraine. Literally parroting talking points Noam Chomsky and the Communist Left have been spewing for at least 2-3 decades.

"Endless wars". Yeah, I remember seeing that bumper sticker right next to a Coexist bumper sticker. Absolute and total rubes.
