The new press secretary is pretty young and inexperienced for the job. Perfect illustration of the point. One side - it's not "really" that much money and an obscure project, so what's the big deal. Other side - don't waste taxpayer money. Back in the dark ages of the 80's, there was a joke that "40 million here and 40 million there, pretty soon it adds up to a lot of money." I'd rather our leaders start with the mentality of "it's not our money and spending should be only for necessary federal projects." (Noting that both Reps and Dems are whores when it comes to pork projects.) The "facts of her bio" mention some highly regarded institutions of higher learning which doesn't mean much in terms of real world accomplishment. Pete Hegseth has real world accomplishments plus a bachelor's from Princeton and a masters from Harvard, but that didn't stop your side from saying he is unqualified.
