Of course it’s serious and no one has disputed that. Steps have been taken to reduce their impact already. Deaths are dropping, already down 21% since summer 2023, and will continue to fall. Starting an unnecessary trade war with the US’s closest anlly over a relatively small impact is mind-numbingly stupid. But again, par for the course.

So you figure that if we stopped all the Fentanyl coming in from Canada, even 1% of fentanyl users will just give it up because it will become too hard to find drugs in the US?
