Something tells me Trump knows more than he was letting on. Blaming DEI and the helicopter crew. I don’t think he would do that unless he had information that strongly suggested this. And it makes sense that he would know before most other people would.

Father of AA pilot, who flew army helos in and out of DC, says night goggles in that environment would make it practically impossible to see the AA jet. The settings on the goggles will be critical info

Dad of pilot flying American Airlines jet that crashed speaks out on 'worst day of my life’

"I was a helicopter pilot in the Army for 20 years,” he said. “In the '90s, I used to fly in and out of the Pentagon regularly, and I can tell you if you are flying on the route over the Potomac and wearing night vision goggles, it's going to be very hard to see that plane. If you're not wearing the goggles, then you might have a chance.”

"From what I can see, those guys turned right into the jet,” he added. “I think the PSA jet was doing everything right.”

“The Army pilot made a grave error. It hurts me because those are my brothers, and now my son is dead."

Why would they wear goggles in that environment then? Is it because of the aircraft itself, or are there they just training to get used to wearing them on a mission?

I would assume training although it hasn't been confirmed they were wearing the goggles at the time.

One question that hasn't been answered yet is whether the crew of the Black Hawk was wearing the goggles at the time of the crash.

0.0% chance…. Trump says DEI because he knows certain people believe every word out of his mouth and will nod their heads in unison.

Rebecca Lobach was a lesbian and Biden White House social aide. Probably attended LGBTQ events. Her social media was deleted.

Maybe the reason that her social media accounts were deleted was to prevent the posting of unsubstantiated derogatory comments about her and to generally drag her name through the mud. The decision to delete her accounts was almost certainly done at the request of her parents.

By the way this what she did at the White House.
I would also add that the only mentions of her sexuality were on fringe websites and social media sites reposting the rumor.

Also probably one of the reason her family requested her identity nit be made public initially

The real reason for the crash has apparently been identified. The helicopter was flying at least 100' higher than it was authorized to near the airport. It might have been a faulty altimeter, or the pilot may not have been paying attention to it.

For the Mod who delet3d my post I did not insinuate that Lobach's sexuality contributed to the crash. I would assume ladies of her persuasion ar3 better pilots than hetero women. She was also an athlete, another plus.

Lobach was too inexperienced (as was her trainer) to be flying this dangerous route at night. The plane and the helo were approaching each other at a combined 280 knots. Plane descending nose up from above and the helo was nose down. Maybe that's why they didn't see each other until it was too late. ATC should have aggressively taken charge instead of letting helicopter figure things out visually

So 2 white pilots were involved in this crash and Trump and his mouthbreathing minions jumped the gun and immediately blamed DEI? Sounds about right lol

Still hard to get why they ended outside the window I keep hearing is standard of below 200 or above 1500 feet…

That should be piloting 101 imo. Especially on a check ride if that is what this was…

I do not know this. But likely a far bigger ask than you realize. I have heard the question of TCAS come up. But under a certain altitude it does not work if I have heard correctly. Kind of makes sense as once you are within you name the height of the ground. It needs to go off. But have warning go off in the cockpit while making a routine landing is obviously not good or ideal.

It would be interesting if we had any pilots or people who work in this circumstance…to provide their thoughts. As one who does not work in this industry but finds aviation fascinating. It makes a lot of sense the TCAS does not work below certain altitudes. But we may have the technology. I just don’t know.

DEI is an issue. Elon Musk was talking about air safety and DEI in January 2024 I believe. I think race and gender come into play. I doubt sensuality does. The FAA wanted more minority ATC's. The airlines want more minority and female pilots.. Those positions have to be based on merit imo.
