You're right. Like everyone else, republicans want government to work for them. When they talk about 'smaller government', all they really want is to eliminate restrictions on business.
This all sounds lovely and reasonable, which makes it even more puzzling that these upright citizens keep electing a feces-throwing baboon (metaphor) to enact their modest goals.
My opinion about what Trump is doing aligns with that of the right-leaning WSJ. It's a incompetent disaster and failure. My opinion of a adult mod actually posting that second line would be similar. Sad.
Another one of my thread titles was edited today. The mod added “and Democrats” to my thread title. Less offensive than last time but ridiculously unnecessary and now makes the title inaccurate. It hasn’t escaped me that the “My advice to Democrats” thread was left unaltered.
I'm still amazed that I get posts deleted or edited for substituting the word Demoncrats for Democrats yet I see these terms used all the time. I don't object to names like MAGAts or Trumpanistas just can't believe fair play isn't allowed.
MAGA with a brain beats MAGA Moron all day. I have no issue with a more N America centered order and I think a lot of the social warrior stuff was just pandering on DeSantis part. Either way, it would be exponentially better than this cluster. . . . travesty.
Do you think Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK or do you think JFK died because of a criminal conspiracy? Do you think there was a conspiracy to prevent Trump from being elected president in 2024? Do you think the US conspired to make Ukraine the knife at Russia's underbelly so as to depose Putin and eventually fracture Russia into many different countries that could be exploited by US financial interests? Do you think George Soros conspired with NGO's and the US government to cause illegals to invade the US?
Please. Try comparing Trump to another dictator or calling a conservative a “bot” on here. The rules tighten up like a noose every republican cycle and then they relax under democrat cycles. Conservatives pop in at the beginning of these cycles and then when the administration delivers disaster they leave and it seems like its a liberal board. It’s not.
I visit two other sports-related boards where 'politics' are discussed. Both are conservative leaning. The liberal lean here is very noticeable. There's nothing wrong with it. It's interesting.
The other board I use isn’t nearly as moderated and much more right leaning. You get more righty participation when you aren’t forced to be somewhat polite and respectful like you are on here - my opinion. That why I don’t mind the moderation here even if it gets a little off kilter. It’s way better than the free for all boards.
Both sides have the same tone. I notice it because I'm closer to the middle and catch it from both sides depending on the topic.
