Sadly, I agree. The republicans aren't smart enough to use their current strength wisely.

Disagree. 2025 and Musk have solidified, or are attempting to, the reigns of power like no other before them. You should bevproud, this is what you voted for. Hope it's everything you wanted

What's wrong with 'strength'? Is 'control' better?

Trump has a narrower majority than he had last time and didnt really pass anything but tax cuts back then. My bet is the same will happen. Being an irritant that makes no lasting change isn’t really strength or control. I’d just call it Troll Power. Awesome.

The reps have the advantage in numbers for now. If they played their cards right, they could maintain or grow that advantage. They won't do that so don't worry.

Last time they didn't control the IG and other critical watchdog positions. They do now and legal or not isn't a consideration now. Who is going to charge them with breaking the law? The AG, the IG, the legislature? State aGs?

You don't have to pass anything if you declare everything am emergency and claim executive authority to do wtf you want to

Trump is just too stupid to know that California's rivers run perpendicular to the coastline, not parallel to it. Dimwit Donald thought that by releasing water in northern California, it would flow to southern California and either be used to fight fires or be held in reservoirs for agriculture. Yes, he is that incredibly stupid. And no one in his inner circle was willing to explain it to Donald the Dull. If there is another big fire in the summer anywhere near where this water came from, Trump will be responsible for the devastation.

Get ready for it: "Who knew that water could be so complicated?"

Who from MAGA will admit this was really stupid, everyone knew it, and they were too scared for their jobs to say no?

Even if it’s not a “fire”, agriculture needs water.

They are in the middle of their wet-season. So at least he didn’t “empty the reservoirs” in May. But still not a responsible thing for a dishonest photo op.

Idiotic, not just irresponsible and dishonest.

This is one of those times where you would think someone with their head up Skidmark's ass would at least say "Hey, it smells up here."
But nope - all good as long as it upsets the libbies, even if impacts people who voted for him.

Trump will care if he accidentally ruins the economy of the state with the highest GDP in the country, and it makes his economic numbers look bad. Sadly, he will be too stupid and arrogant to understand or admit his role in the damage that he's done to the U.S. economy. Naturally, he's deflect blame on the governor, Californians, China, Haitians, or anyone besides himself.
